[Painless Hurt]

This poem is dedicated to my best friend.

My trepidation eats me away.
Your innocuous behavior tears through me.
You expect me to venerate you as a goddess.
Yet my praise goes unnoticed.
the surreptitious beliefs you hold near.
Engulf your soul.
Making it succumb to the emotional stress.
Nullifying me as a person.
You release me, pull me...
Placing this trance on me.
Blinding me from the light of life.
Shrouding me with deaths eternal night.
your satirical actions cut through my eyes.
Releasing the flood into my inner...
Nothing.
I lay stagnant in this prison cell.
The cold floor chills my thoughts.
I retract within my mind
And believe you love me
Naive.
I love you.
Will you return the................................................
To leave is to do what many say and few accomplish.
