Love In Slumber

I notice how corny I have come to feel
The mushy sense I get in the pit of my tummy when you kiss me
I look into your eyes again tonight
We laid for a nap later
You fell asleep first
I moved so I could see your face
You moved in closer to me
I just watched as you dreamed your crazy dreams
I looked at your closed eyes, the same eyes that look into mine
I looked at your soft pouty lips, the same lips that kiss my tears away
You pull me close with your arms, the same arms that hold me in times of comfort and loving
I kiss your chin as you slumber and think of when we dance
And how because you are taller than I you rest your chin on my head
But most of the time you lean so we can be cheek to cheek
I lay my head on your chest and close my eyes
I feel you move and you kiss me on my head and you whisper "I love you" And we drift away
To a slumber together
Even in sleep we are together
I wish for us to be together forever...my prince, my heart, my love.
