So this is some kind of song lyrics I wrote. The style is best describe as a mixture of Tool, minimal house and 80's metal.

Why even try?
As soon as the music fades
Your body will still look the same
Scarred by what you can't control
Unable to express your soul
Needing someone whose love
doesn't fade away

Why even try?
When you are your own aftermath
Struggling to stray from the path
Some external force has laid out
Unknowing what it's all about
Killing someone whose life
shouldn't end that way

I don't need to assume
Cause I think all aloud
about this

You don't need no perfume
Your words stink bad enough
as it is

Why even try?
There's a demon possessing my mind
There's no light in the darkness to find
And my body will still be the same
Even as they're changing my name
Cursing the one whose love
doesn't fade away

Thank you! I was kind of going for a more stylish feel in the beginning but ended up surrendering to the dark, sort of worn-out metaphors anyway. Had me thinking of making it a pure rock song instead.

I found some spelling errors :( Corrected.

last two lines..... ouch. unfortunately it's the way it tends to go.

nice work.

Thank you! It's nice to hear something like this and give the inner criticism a break.

I don't really know if this is about a recent breakup or about the materialistic nature of humanity or about general depression, but the more I think about it the more all three themes seem to fit.
