Location
The Boonies
Pretty fools wander half-dressed
Through denim-swathed streets
All the sticky nightclubs in town
Searching in the wrong places
For love and contentment
Instead finding empty feelings
Used condoms in a strangers bed
Real love isn't in that musky realm
Nor in that stranger's bed
Love hides in dark corners
Only illuminated when daylight fades
When you think nothing's left
You have a moment of clarity
And you'll know it when you see it
The softening of your face
In the excitement in your head
And in that terribly exquisite
Opening embrace...

A good poet is one who says what we're all thinking, but can't put into words.

I think we've all struggled to articulate this at one time or another. Poignant stuff.

I'm beginning to like this place.
