I've smoked for awhile, but I always liked weed at the time but tried to control myself and harbor the anti-drug attitudes I had been raised with, both at home and in school.

Finally, I just realized that I love weed.

Did any of you have a similar type of shift?

Drugs are bad, but weed isn't a drug ;)

I use to be one of though kids that hung out with the stoners, but never smoked. Till.........and the rest is history. During my time in High school I was privileged enough to know the right people and obtain some of the best herbs in the land.

Embrace the herb and don't be afraid to show... unless the cops are lookin ;)

Best medication for me. Sadly I'm had to stop and honestly its kinda hard for me. I get bored I guess.

If only this were true. Unfortunately, weed is just another drug, not some perfect gift from God.
I fell in love with weed straight away really, it was just incredible. I tried to keep it to weekends though. Then I tried to keep it to evenings. Then I just smoked all day every day for years. Now I don't smoke all that often because it's nowhere near as enjoyable as it used to be. You can love weed too much, and it don't love you back.
I know your having your honeymoon with weed and it's fantastic; all I'm saying is that if you overdo it, you're likely to experience progressively fewer positive effects and more negative ones. Just try and be moderate, don't let it become the central activity of your day, and you should be able to enjoy it just as much as you do now.

I loved weed more than life at first. Weed was like my fist girlfriend. Since then I've bedded many many drugs and I no longer can use the word "love" to describe my feelings towards cannabis. I'll admit my usage was out of control for a year or so. Now I just enjoy weed, I do "love" some other drugs out there though.

I fucking love blazing.

I'm one out of my group of friends that has consistently smoked pot since I started almost 7 years ago.

We were all massive stoners until about 17 or so. That's when two of them got into K, heavily. One is in jail right now, so I guess he's clean from that. The other one is still snorting K like a fucking mad man, and he used to smoke just as much weed as me..dunno how he just made the "shift."

There's drugs I like way more than weed, but in the end, I prefer to have marijuana on-hand CONSTANTLY. It's like my safety net..seriously. Whenever I'm sober, I seem to be wearing a bullshit magnet, on top of that I have anger problems. Just knowing that I have a bag of weed waiting for me when I get home makes it so much better to deal with all the BS that manages to find its way to me..

Good advice.

Right on man. Most of the people I know that quit smoking said that they did so after it caused serious problems in their life. They then instead of accepting themselves as the source of their problems blamed an inanimate object.

I think that the fact that cannabis is such a benign drug can actually be a problem. What I mean is that, if you compare heavy amphetamine or alcohol or pretty much any other drug, heavy, regular use tends to lead to negative health, social, mental, financial etc consequences. I was a teenager smoking all day every day, but it didn't really have a negative efect on me- I did well at school, had a normal social life, never spent all my cash. If I'd been drinking that much, I would have felt like shit all the time, lost friends due to drunken behaviour, had no cash, done shit at school. The problem is that because of this you can very easily slip into really heavy use. I remember being shocked when one of my friends told me that he smoked as soon as he got home from school; in a couple of years I was waking up with a couple of shotties. I became dependent on it, I just hated not having dweed. Now that's not great in itself, but the real trouble was when weed started making me anxious, paranoid, and just not being much fun. But I was so used to blazing all the time, I didn't really like being sober- I was just bored and miserable all the time. So I started drinking maybe half a bottle of rum a night to try and compensate. Suddenly, I was missing all my lectures, broke, feeling like shit all the time, making a fool of myself and putting on a lot of weight. Alcohol just can't be used like cannabis can without fucking your life up, but when dope doesn't do it any more you just want to get fucked, and you have to learn how to be sober.

I think this post is really long; sorry, I'm higher then the sun and rambling.

You've got some big ball's to try and argue that in CD, man8o

Of course weeds not a drug, it's a magical herb from higher powers that works magically and NOT by causing changes in brain/body chemistry like other drugs. Its kind of like how liquor and nicotine are not drugs.8)

Also whats up with stoners flaunting their stoner....ness, believe or not it's not much better than wearing a syringe on your keychain or having a shirt that says "phat rigs for Jesus".

Actually thats kind of funny.

I used to be in the same boat. I was super anti drug, tried pot then didn't like. Eventually learned to like it, it then became love and then i got introduced into other drugs. Pot is still my favorite of them all

Yes alot of people love weed, this doesn't really qualify for cannabis discussion though.
