a search with an empty soul
trying to find something that will fit

wanting to find fullfillment and maybe happiness
but its never that way because im just a lost soul pretending

i always find what i had already known
to fool myself again that i'm learning something new

i wish i can change into someone else
but its the same old fears that restrain my need to grow

i need to find a straighter path instead of walking in circles
confusion and anger mingling behind a smile

i sense a lot of confusion in these four lines. do you see yourself as lost forever, with no hope for redemption? and if you feel empty and lost, what do you already know? and why is it not valid? why can't it be built upon, instead of being ignored, and relearned again? and what's wrong with you? why do you feel you need to become someone else?

i love this piece. it captures the essence of what you're feeling. maybe you are a lost soul. i don't think so. the very fact that you're questioning means that you're willing to learn. the very existence of introspection shows a willingness to change. don't give up. keep questing, searching, learning. try, try, try again.
