Does anyone have experience with lost or undelivered mail?
I had my wallet stolen in Ukraine almost 6 weeks ago; I've been surviving off money transfers from home but I'm getting pretty tired of filling out forms and carrying around physical money.. I ordered a replacement MasterCard the day I had it stolen from my bank in Australia.
They said it would take 'upto' 15 working days, it's been 25 working days so far and it still hasn't arrived.. I originally had it sent to the hostel I was staying at in Budapest because that's where I was going to be when it should have arrived.. I'm currently in London but I'll be going back there in a week.
Can international mail sometimes take this long? Or is it more likely that its been lost or is infact sitting undelivered at the post office?
What I can't understand is why they didn't place a tracker on the mail, of all items this should have one..It has all my money on it.. for fuck sake.
My bank is useless at the moment and can only tell me it's been sent, and all I can really do is go ask at the post office in person. I spoke to a girl who had a similar incident happen and she was still waiting 5 weeks after having it sent from New York to Germany.. so I'm hoping its just massively delayed..
