hi i'm kinda new and i'm posting life story in introductions. posted 1st half and then was typing 2nd half as reply, but i pushed 'reply' instead of 'post' i guess because it took me to new (blank) reply screen. any way to retrieve lost and unposted reply? it was kinda long and it kept saying 'auto-saved' so it must be somewhere, right? lol, any help appreciated.

thanks.

maybe it's the system's way of saying you don't need to post your life story...? ;)

the answer you seek is 'no'. (unless you've been typing in a different tab or browser window and hitting the back button a couple of times brings it back.)

You should see a button saying "Restore content" in the thread that you were replying to under the reply box.

Click it, that should get it back.

If it doesn't then its lost.

wow!!!

for the record it says 'Restore Auto-Saved Content'. in white, on the bottom left of the reply box.

fucking black magic. who knew. :D

Doesn't quite work always though. There are peculiarities to it's memory.

I intend to test it at some point.

I'm sure it behaves differently if you reply via the 'reply' or 'quote' button.

thanks guys. yeah i found that button in short order, your right, it's a lil' janky. have to keep that in mind when posting in mini-novel format. and ur right 'bout that too, felix. if it weren't for honest feedback like that, i'd prolly make a fool of myself more often than i do. i was a bit excited admittedly. ; )
