To make a long story short, I smoked about a gram of rock for a year.... It's been two years come september that I have used any. So let's say 20 months clean.

I'm in my mid twenties, and have already pulled out one molar in the top row to the left and have had like 3 fillings. Total of about $700. Did all of this in February.

For the past three months I get EXCRUCIATING cavity pain, usually 3 days out of the week. One day of pain and then two days off and then comes back.

I ran out of Amoxicillin and I am realizing that the Ibuprofen is tearing my stomach apart.

I don't know what the fuck to do, I was in fucking Immense pain when they took the molar out and have had dry socket, and I don't have the $2000+ I need to finish up, I wouldn't be suprised if it was more.

I hate to sound like a fiend, but how the fuck do dentists pull out teeth and just give people some Motrin/Ibuprofen 800? That shit is inhumane.

Anyone else been through this? No I don't use opiates, but I have been high off of em a dozen times or so.

Have had the dry sockets and my condolences because they hurt like a fucking bitch.

Go get some pain killers because this is no doubt necessary for dry sockets.

No heroin or anything lol just some vikes and get back to the dentist soon so you don't have to take the vikes for a long period of time.

I wouldnt trade a dry socket for an opiate addiction but the dry socket is no joke.

3 steps for you.

Get some pain pills
Get money to get it fixed ASAP.
Get rid of the pain pills.

Just curious. When I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at once i would go back every few days to get the healing looked at and when I needed the dry socket taken care of they would never charge me for those visits after the surgery because it was aftercare and the appointments were short.

Sorry if I missed anything. But yea get some opiates. Those Otc meds ain't gonna help a dry socket.

I had 2 dry sockets at once because i lit up cigs the second i walked out of surgery and deeply deeply regretted it so I know your pain bro

Man, to be honest I live in a bubble, I go to work, come back home and use my computer. Rinse and repeat. My sister does opiates but I don't want to ask her for the connect and shit.
I went to go see THREE different dentists and all of them fuckers said the same thing "motrin 800" I hate to sound like a whiny pussy, but considering all the teeth I have to pull out eventually, that shit is inhumane as fuck.

It reminds me of when you ask someone who has a sleeve/large tatoo and ask them if it hurt and they say 'naw man' yet they got the tattoo years ago...Bullshit man, that shit hurts after two hours of getting ink'd up.

Everyone has different pain thresholds, but holy fuck tooth extraction is not cool. and trips me the fuck out.

Haha yea dude I know exactly where you are coming from. You ain't being a pussy if it was a one ir 2 day ordeal you could push through. But if I remember correctly thst dry socket doesnt fix by itsself i believe. Not totally sure. Maybe try and UNS some type of numbing agent but I can't remember if that did dick.

Don't ask your sis for the connect just have Her frab you some of but some off her.

Idk hopefully someone else can chime in but not many options with this unfortunatly. It effects sleep, eating, headache all that shit, so I hope you figure it out soon man, cuz it blows big time

Ugh. I feel your pain. My molars are decaying at the gumline. I've already had one removed.

Tooth decay has a number of causes. For drug users, dry mouth is the main contributor. Eating lots of sweets is also a problem. If you haven't already, get some Biotene mouthwash or spray. It helps keep your mouth moist. Brush and floss at least once a day, if not more.

Preventing dental problems is a helluva lot more pleasant than treating them after the fact.

Not everyone gets pain from tooth extraction. I had a wisdom tooth out (as well as ten fillings) a couple of years ago and a canine out about a month ago, barely noticed them being pulled out let alone pain after.

Is that all they give you? That's ridiculous.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out in the same procedure, opted for them to IV inject an anesthetic to knock me out. My mouth was in immense pain afterwards, all swollen and 4 open sockets in pain... they could only give me Panadeine Forte - 500mg Paracetomol/30mg Codeine. - It still barley helped, but i can't imagine only been given ibuprofen for pain like that..

sometimes rinsing your mouth with peroxide and water solution will help the pain and get another dentist

Not to derail the thread but they knocked me out IV too for all 4 wisdom to be dug out. The surgeon also said he was adding in a pain killing agent into the IV or something. The second he hit ne with that it felt almost as good or better then dope. I hadn't shot dope in years but it was identical and in about 3 seconds I felt the rush and was out lol.

I wish i had your doctor, i just got the anesthetic.. but i had never had anything IV'ed into me before.. i remember them saying 'ok were giving it to you now' and i got half-way through asking 'when will i feel it?' before my head rolled back and i was knocked out cold within a few seconds.. jesus christ it hits you fast.

edit: So the past few days have been hell. I wake up at like 6am in agonizing pain....I went today and got some hydrogen peroxide oral rinse, and some Floss.

I realized that the an afternoon of a bruised gum from extraction is better than this gnarly cavity pain.
I got some oral rinse peroxide solution, and I feel way better!

I just wanted to say this: It's a bit depressing being in my mid twenties and knowing half my teeth are on their way out, I can only imagine the heart damage I have caused. =/

thanks for letting me vent

I've never tried this...but I am always researching health stuff and at one time had read many good things about something called Blue Ice Royal and repairing teeth.

Just google "blue ice royal teeth" for more info.

Good luck.

Peace.
