Lorazepam first time use

I know you guys get a lot of these so apologies in advance. I UTSF'ed as well as read the wiki and erowid on it. I just took 3mg of lorazepam because i can't get norco or percocet right now my DOC's. I got 10 1mg pills from my aunt and took 3. That was about 20 min ago and i don't feel anything yet other than placebo effects im sure. I hear people say that 3mg of ativan is equivilant to 30mg diazepam and that scares me because 10mg of diazepam is plenty for me. I love benzos and i love the subtlety of the effects (except Xanax, that shit puts me on the couch) but i think the equivalent of 30mg diazepam might be too much :0 What dosage should i take? does lorazepam have a ceiling when it comes to its rec. effects? i want to mix some weed with this because as i type this i can tell i'm feeling something that's not placebo and i love the mix of benzo's and weed but i don't want to overpower the ativan. if it doesn't work recreationally what do you guys think about it medically? i have social anxiety brought on by aspergers syndrome, and im a massive worry wart. it's taken my about an hour to type this due to interruptions and at this point i'm feeling like a small xanax dose. like .5mg or something. I might smoke some weed in a min. we'll see. give me your guys's thoughts, was 3mg too much? i'm waiting for it to peak

It's really hard to say. In general, lorazepam is know to peak fast and leave fast. Starts working for me in about 15 min.
I am scripted lorazepam 1mgs and take 1-2 as needed. I've never needed 3 and don't know if there's a ceiling effect but prob would be mostly sedating.
My son has aspergers. Be really careful . A hallmark symptom is chronic anxiety. Once you're introduced to benzos they can be highly addictive because hey.. Who WOULDNT want that anxious feeling to go away sometimes .
I can really only give medical/therapeutic advice.
Basically I think an anti anxiety (SSRI) would be more fitting and far less addictive than a benzo. Have you tried something like lexapro or celexa?
Second, if you do require a benzo medically, I would suffers one with a longer half life. Last way longer and more controlled dose therapeutically, plus if you take one with a quick peak it would be even more addictive. A longer acting benzo would be something like klonopin.
Third, a benzo is NOT the pill to use recreationally if you are a worry wart, have ASD or chronic anxiety. You will get addicted. There are lots of things you can try recreationally- don't make it be benzos.
Seriously dude you know Tony Attwood? His SON has aspergers and is addicted to benzos and if even Tony couldn't get him off
But no 3mg isn't "harmful", don't take any other sedating things with it like alcohol, sleeping pills, antihistamines etc
