Right had another few bad days and in the space of two weeks have taken 7 mgs. Two Wednesdays ago i had one, then the Thursday another, then Saturday another. I then left it for a week but this Saturday had 2mgs and today had 2 mgs. Will i start feeling withdrawal effects from this sort of taking? Thank for your time and patience x

Maybe uncomfortable for a few days, but if you don't take anymore then you should be fine.
(no physical withdrawal, but slight psychological withdrawal).

yeah you might get slight rebound anxiety/insomnia, but apart from that you'll be fine.

How long do you think i should go without them now? I just keep reading about seizures and all that. Does having breaks decrease the risk of dependency?

Having breaks absolutely decreases the risk of dependency.. it's basically the only thing that does. With any psychically addicting drug like benzos, opiates, etc, taking anything every day for long enough will eventually leave you strung out. If you don't need them, don't take them. You really don't wanna be taking them for more than a few days to a week everyday or you could easily one day end up dependent.

Maybe a low level anxiety and insomnia but nothing important to be scared of, keep yourself busy and make some physical activity to help yourself with natural endorphins.
Valerian and other plants like passion flower, linden, lemon balm could help a lot in sleeping, 2 cups of this tea mix could give you similar effects to 1mg lorazepam expecially the first days you drink it, tested and approved !

Are you using lorazepam to automedicate yourself or just for recreational use ?

My doctor prescribed it to me to take as when needed. It says on the box 4 times a day if i want but no way in hell am i going there. It had just been a stressful few weeks hence my big intake for those weeks. After leaving it a week from the three doses i took in four days it was the the two doses of 2 mgs in four days recently that worried me. Thanks for your replies by the way ;) x

Have you ever had a benzo dependency in the past? If not, it can take weeks of using everyday for a lot of people to pick up their first psychical dependence. Using for four days in a row, unless you've previously been addicted, is not usually enough time for someone to pick up a habit.

I've never had a dependency before no. How long does it take receptors to get back to normal if not dependent?

Sorry sorry my apologies. I can say some silly things sometimes :) I guess i mean when the lorazapam leaves your body does that mean it's left everywhere including your brain? Can it linger longer in the brain? Sorry I'm not to good with wording stuff

Withdrawals from benzos are more common amongst everyday heavy users. If you give yourself a few days in between you'll be fine, you could even take alpo several days in a row at moderate doses and not experience withdrawals... although 7 mg's is slightly pushing it. I would be out like a light for a least a day from 7 mg's.

Yeah it was 7mgs over two weeks really. It is pretty silly i guess to think i could get withdrawals from what I've took and how I've taken them but the horror stories i have read worried me a little. Once again thanks for all you advise :)
