Ok I read a lot of posts about how loperamide doesn't work and now after running out of my suboxone script, I'm living proof it does work. Actually very well. And I am not opiate naive either. I have been using heroin for the last 8 years. I wish I knew about this sooner. And I don't take obscene amounts either. I took 12 2 mg at 8 last night and another 12 at midnight. No withdrawal symptoms. None. I feel great actually. No high whatsoever. I actually went out with my girlfriend and went jogging. Normally right now that would be unheard of. I would be curled up on the floor calling my "guy" to score and right now Im not even thinking of that. Maybe on some people they don't work, but for me this is a godsend. Just found out about it a week ago on here and I decided to join to write about my experience. If I posted in the wrong forum feel free to move it.

I, too, was AMAZED at the benefits of loperamide.

Kratom withdrawals (although nowhere near those of heroin or stronger opiate withdrawals) are awful in themselves. Still same flu-like symptoms...the sweating, restless legs, extreme depression, freezing, sneezing, diarrhea, etc....but loperamide DEFINITELY cleared ALL physical symptoms. And I only had to take 5 or 6 tops(2mg each) for a 2 yr daily habit of at least 20g of kratom. Did a bit of research on it and found out that it's actually helped heroin withdrawals greatly.

But, be careful to taper down and get off those quickly as loperamide themselves can become addictive (no, you will not get a high from it--strictly a physical addiction) and can cause serious heart problems down the road.
