My boyfriend and I moved to a new city in late October . We have both been regular opiate users for over 5 years & haven't really looked around for anything (we aren't trying to since this is a new slate for both of us). When we first moved here, we had a stash of methadone for the first week or two. After those ran out, we decided to try the immodium (lope) trick. It worked. Since then, probably 3x a week if not more, we've been using hiigh doses of (100+mg's) immodium. I know a lot of people don't believe that this works, but it does. For us anyways at least. We've both been on methadone in the past and it feels very similar to that. Neither of us have "trouble" using the bathroom/stomach pains/etc. And honestly, it's been helping us a lot.
But anyways, last week we went Thursday and Friday without taking any. That Saturday afternoon, we were able to come a cross some Suboxone. We ended up getting 3 8mg strips. Two years ago, I was on suboxone for over a year so I know a great deal about it (because I always try to read up on things before I throw myself into them) and I somehow never had any precipitated withdrawls. Well, around 2:30pm we each took 4mgs. At around 3:30, We both started to feel horribly cold (We live in Florida and it was 80 on this day!). At around 5pm we got back to our house from hanging out with a friend. As soon as I got inside, I felt horrible. But it didn't feel like everyone said the precipiated withdrawls felt like. It wasnt anything fun, but it wasnt enjoyable either and def not what I usually get out of 4mgs. So, I stupidly-at 7pm took another 4mgs. 2 hours later, I felt worse than before. The entire night I had RLS, I was sweating so bad the bed was soaked, and my stomach was sick. And of course, no sleep that night. But with my boyfriend, he just felt absolutely nothing from the suboxone and still felt slightly dope sick.
Was this the immodium causing withdrawls (It has before. ) or was this precipitated withdrawls from the suboxone?
Here is the weird thing, once a month we come a cross oxycodone . The past two months, we have felt little to NOTHING from them. The last time we took them, both of our first doses were 3 30mgs. I added another 30mgs in less than 30 minutes. We both snorted them, and got no rush. Nothing. We each ended up taking 7 30mgs that day and ...nothing. Absolutely nothing. They werent fake because they were from the pharmacy and a family member had no problems with them either. Just us. Same thing happened last month also...we got nothing out of them.
Here comes the weird question, is the lope completely blocking any other opiates I put into my body? Is it making my tolerance sky rocket? Even when I was heavily into oxycodone, I could snort 2 30mgs and get an awesome rush (or it atleast made me feel better!). This is just mind boggling to both of us. Or are we just doomed for life and opiates hate us now? Hahaha
We haven't posted in a long time. If anyone has any thoughts on this, lemme know! It's very weird, for sure! Thank you!
