Opioids Lope causing precipitated suboxone withdrawls & blocking other opiates ?

My boyfriend and I moved to a new city in late October . We have both been regular opiate users for over 5 years & haven't really looked around for anything (we aren't trying to since this is a new slate for both of us). When we first moved here, we had a stash of methadone for the first week or two. After those ran out, we decided to try the immodium (lope) trick. It worked. Since then, probably 3x a week if not more, we've been using hiigh doses of (100+mg's) immodium. I know a lot of people don't believe that this works, but it does. For us anyways at least. We've both been on methadone in the past and it feels very similar to that. Neither of us have "trouble" using the bathroom/stomach pains/etc. And honestly, it's been helping us a lot.

But anyways, last week we went Thursday and Friday without taking any. That Saturday afternoon, we were able to come a cross some Suboxone. We ended up getting 3 8mg strips. Two years ago, I was on suboxone for over a year so I know a great deal about it (because I always try to read up on things before I throw myself into them) and I somehow never had any precipitated withdrawls. Well, around 2:30pm we each took 4mgs. At around 3:30, We both started to feel horribly cold (We live in Florida and it was 80 on this day!). At around 5pm we got back to our house from hanging out with a friend. As soon as I got inside, I felt horrible. But it didn't feel like everyone said the precipiated withdrawls felt like. It wasnt anything fun, but it wasnt enjoyable either and def not what I usually get out of 4mgs. So, I stupidly-at 7pm took another 4mgs. 2 hours later, I felt worse than before. The entire night I had RLS, I was sweating so bad the bed was soaked, and my stomach was sick. And of course, no sleep that night. But with my boyfriend, he just felt absolutely nothing from the suboxone and still felt slightly dope sick.
Was this the immodium causing withdrawls (It has before. ) or was this precipitated withdrawls from the suboxone?

Here is the weird thing, once a month we come a cross oxycodone . The past two months, we have felt little to NOTHING from them. The last time we took them, both of our first doses were 3 30mgs. I added another 30mgs in less than 30 minutes. We both snorted them, and got no rush. Nothing. We each ended up taking 7 30mgs that day and ...nothing. Absolutely nothing. They werent fake because they were from the pharmacy and a family member had no problems with them either. Just us. Same thing happened last month also...we got nothing out of them.

Here comes the weird question, is the lope completely blocking any other opiates I put into my body? Is it making my tolerance sky rocket? Even when I was heavily into oxycodone, I could snort 2 30mgs and get an awesome rush (or it atleast made me feel better!). This is just mind boggling to both of us. Or are we just doomed for life and opiates hate us now? Hahaha

We haven't posted in a long time. If anyone has any thoughts on this, lemme know! It's very weird, for sure! Thank you! =D

Are you on methadone when you do the oxy's? The methadone would definetely block the opiates.

I don't know about the loperamide and suboxone question. But I am curious about itoo as i wanna take lope for a day until I get subs and I don't wana be in withdrawals either

We haven't had methadone since october, so no :/

I've never wound up in percipitated withdrawls before so I was boggled. But I figured that they would have hit a lot faster if that was the problem?? I always thought that those kicked in super quick . I took the sub around 2pm and didn't get very sick until night time which was the super weird part.

What Im really curious about is if lope is blocking the opiates like very high doses of methadone or suboxone . I mean, I've taken subs one night and the next morning taken my oxy dose and never had a block happen . It's just been very weird lately. And when we took the oxys, we were over 24 hours without any lope.

I just wish we all knew more about lope for things like this ! :p

Maybe it wasn't precipitated withdrawals but just regular withdrawals. I must agree with you about beinng confused with lope, its a weird thing

Well sublingual suboxone can take a long time to kick in, though what you mentioned is odd. The only time I got precipitated withdrawal was after an opana binge, and I decided stupidly to take 2mg of suboxone sublingually twelve hours after my last opana shot. For an the first half hour I just felt wired and then it hit me full force after an hour or so. It's really only when you inject suboxone too soon after your last full agonist dose that the withdrawals hit you immediately,

You do not need 100+mg of loperamide to stop withdrawal in it's tracks even if you have the largest habit on Earth. 1/10th of that dosage is more than enough. Also, loperamide is not blocking the opiates so to speak...sounds like you abused it (or simply didn't know what you were getting into with high-dose loperamide), and what you've managed to accomplish with such an over-kill dosage is a seriously skyrocketed tolerance. With a tolerance like that, it is no wonder you don't feel oxycodone even in huge dosages.

Loperamide is also a full-agonist with an extremely long half-life, you need to be 100% sure you are in moderate withdrawal after taking loperamide before you start taking bupe again to avoid precip withdrawals.

But I think it could just be the fact that 4mg of bupe is no longer going to cut it thanks to your 100+mg loperamide tolerance, and you were just having regular withdrawals.

i didn't know lope will raise your tolerance that much since it hardly crosses the blood brain barrier. so what you are saying, is that even if a drug doesnt cross the BBB, it will raise your tolerance?

Yes. You have opiate receptors in other areas of your body besides the brain.

Although loperamide, from what I understand, does indeed cross the blood-brain barrier in miniscule amounts as nearly all of it is pumped back out by p-glycoprotein. Taking extremely high dosages 'floods the gates' if you will...

Disclaimer: It is a shitty idea to use loperamide to get high by the way, and will leave you disappointed (with a really, really, really high brand new tolerance) at best if your intentions are not to get well. Just in case anyone reading this decides to get ideas.
