Looping Thoughts (Circles, ect.)

If you analyze your life and everyone else around you typically you find that most people are stuck in lots of loops. We are all creatures of habit and whether we realize it or not many of the actions we do every day are part of thought loops. It only becomes evident to some people when they take psychedelics because it allows them to see their thought processes in different ways.

Thought loops are a completely normal thing. All of humanity has them most just arent fully aware of it.

i know exactly what your talking about, i get a feeling that everything is just a metaphor for everything...and that life and reality and existence is just the same thing happening infititly but just takes different forms, its actually a beautiful feeling for me, not nerve racking or crazy at all.

yeah...only thing that scared my 2 friends is that it was there first time n we couldnt stop doing it until we all sorta freaked out since we didnt notice the transition to ego death, so once we finally let go of the loop, we felt like we had died but didnt know when it happened O.o

The worst loops i;ve had have been where i'd loop on the meaning of existence, i'd run through an infinite number of conclusions each becoming more intricate then the next, each conclusion good or bad justifying my own means of existence.. this is usually brought about by LSD, where i can't seem to grasp the concept of infinity and therefore try to rationalize 'everything' which sends me into a 'loop' of duality.

i had this really bad a few months ago, ended up getting so bad and so stressed out that I couldn't remember who anyone was anymore, yeah i think it is when you're on the way to ego death.

I always seem to get thoughts of this nature while tripping, sometimes in a positive way and sometimes negative.
I think I may just have a very analytical mind perhaps.

Interesting.... i have a similar experience under certain conditions while taking mephedrone.

i would have to:
A) be lying down
B) have sudden raised blood pressure and heart rate by doing something such as masturbating intensely (well it's meph after all :D)
C) try to think cognitively about something

so as i would fantasize while masturbating, my mind would go round and round in circles over the details of the fantasy only to forget wtf is going on or what the fantasy was even about, only to recall it again, only to repeat it again, only to lose track of the details again. etc. etc.

this vicious unfulfilling fantasy would go on for as long as 1 to 2 hours drifting in and out of being fully conscious and half unconscious, without ever stopping. i would literally use my arm's/body's muscles etc. for at least an hour without a single break!!!! before i know it i check my alarm clock and i realize how much time had passed since i decided to go for it!!!!!

scary.....

Most of the times repetitive thought loops amuse me(as i've learned how for the most part to end them). Once after eating quite a few psychedelics and once the peak kicked in I would forget what I had taken(thanks mushroom confusion!). So I would sit on my couch and repeat to myself what I could remember taking which came out as this amusing loop(I would start off so well too) 2c-I, 2c-E, 2c.....-me?
