Looking for stories or advice for those that were on kratom, got off and have been able to start anew in life.

Hello all, I hope everyone is well and doing as best as they can; I will search the forum and check where I can (our apologies in advance). Looking for former Kratom users that were able to quit and rebuild after long time use, we are older and just want to hear about/from others who were also older that succeeded. What helped you, did you use supplements, how did you rebuild confidence and sense of self? We want to quit and move on, and are at a point where we must stop life and take a moment, but we are scared, as rebuilding is an unknown. We had further questions yet stupidly forgot them, so we will update the post as they arrive, thank you to anyone who responds.

Recently when I returned to Florida, I started using it frequently for around a month. That's not really long term use but I would say it became easy for me to quit after getting sick from it enough times. Throwing up Kratom is miserable. Luckily, it never really gave me enough positive effects for it to feel worth it. I always got a bit of agitation on opiates and kratom was similar in that regard. The effects also don't last very long so I found it redundant to redose. Most people I know who've stopped just reduced their dosage over a couple weeks and then kicked it for good. The withdrawal shouldn't be as bad as you expect.

Kratom --- to something with less alkaloids -- codeine DHC tramadol.

Than you deal with all the non opioid withdrawl from the other shite while taking your codeine or whatever and when that stops you can drop the codeine and just deal with short term (not super strong) opi w/ds
