anyone know some good remixes of popular songs, past and present, that have been redone in techno/trance/dance etc? i can find a few... for example. unchained melodies, tainted love.. anyone know more?
 
there is a thread full of 80's remixes here. do a search. You're probably going to have to narrow down what type of popular song you want (i.e. RnB, rap, pop music, etc.). There are tons of "popular" songs in every genre that are remixed into other genres.

It's a remake of Paul McCartney & Wing's "Silly Love Songs"... it's f*ckin AWESOME-- ALWAYS puts me in a great mood when I hear it.

As said above there there are aleast hundreds of songs that have been remixed, alot of them are crap though, a beat and some shity synth put in just for the sake of it.

3 worth havin a listen too though are:

Bossa Rocker - The Doors (Break on Through remixed, sounds like an disaster but its more of a re-edit of the original so theres nothing cheesy about it)

The Fear - Ian Brown ( Unkle )

Talk - Coldplay ( Luke chable mix is fairly good)

Oh and about half the Depeche Mode remixes are brilliant.
