Hi? Everyone! I've read this site for answers to many of my questions and decided today to actually talk to ya all.

I do have a question, I can't find the answer to. I take 5 7.5/300 Vics a day and I need to know what the equivalent would be for Morphine. Someone got into my script and I had to buy some Morphine 100 mg., but not sure how much to take.

Some background-I've been disabled for 12 yrs and have been on Vics for most of that time. I weigh around 240 and I'm 5'8". I'm 53 yrs old. I've tried a few drugs over the years ( I'm a 70's child!) But its been awhile. I have Degenerative Disc Disease, fibro and arthritis everywhere. The pain is usually controlled by my vics and a joint now and then! Any suggestions would be great. My doc is really good to me!!

Welcome to BL.

Orally, morphine is a very low bioavailability, so it balances out its stronger potency and causes it to have a 1:1 ratio with hydrocodone. So 37.5mg's of hydrocodone=37.5mg's of morphine.

OK. I've got the dosage, but how do you split a 100 mg pill into 18 mgs? And these pills are already tiny!
