I first started to go onto Bluelight around 2002. I had an account at thar time, I can't remember the username I had, and the email address I used is no longer active. I stopped using the account around 2004, with around 100 posts.
I took a break from the site as I had a lot going on, and I spent some time without a computer while I was doing a lot of traveling. I came back and started lurking on the site around around 2008. I've noticed a lot of changes throught the years but all in all it's the same place to get great information on drugs.
I can remember one year in the early 2000's on April fools day I went to login and the home page said that it was seized by the DEA, very similar to what I've seen in articles about the webpage Silk Road, lol. I feel for it even though no illegal activity had been done on the site by me or anything I was familar with.
So about me (I am being careful about what I disclose, but I am glad that we no longer use SWIM here)
I have struggled with opiate addiction for most of my life. I've had years clean, and haven't had a long use of opiate for 10 years. I usually am able to catch myself and stop before I cause damage to my relationships or money problems.
My real interest in drugs is psychedelics. I have recently been amazed by DMT, but mushrooms, LSD, and other ones still interest me.
My personal life involves a loving partner, one that doesn't like opiates at all(that's good!). I work a lot in a field that I love and my recreation is skateboarding. I don't skateboard as much or as hard as I did in my teens (like my drug use), but I still do it as an aging dude.
I created this account a year or so ago, but have yet to use it. I've been lurking on here daily for months and have comments and questions that I feel could be helpful for harm reduction for others and myself.
I look forward to becoming an active and helpful member of this great community!
