long term effects of fioricet

i've posted before about my fioricet...i got a refill on it and i really feel like theyre taking a toll on me recently, constantly feeling doped out and off balance and my vision has been getting a little strange. my body feels weak and shaky like im going to pass out all the time.
is this normal or does it just seem like something else could be going on?

Those are common barbituate side affects. Butalbital has a half-life of 35 hours, so it tends to build up in your body.

Barbiturate side effects. As for feeling shaky, that may be due to the caffeine.

these were the first pills I ever messed with. and boy, can they really fuck you up. be careful.

thank you all. im trying to slowly trying to wean myself off of them. any tips on how to best do that?

I didn't have any problems when I stopped taking them. but then again, I was only a pothead at the time, so naive to pills. I probably didn't even notice I was having withdrawals and probably just thought I was sick or something.

both codeine and barbiturates are addictive(although barb withdrawl is more dangerous). long term use would likely result in addiction to both of these drugs, which i imagine would be hell.

I don't think that he said he was using the codeine compound. As you said though, barbiturate withdrawal is worse than opiate withdrawal IMO.

oh boyy that doesnt sound fun. as long as i dont die, ill get through it lol. i guess ill just have to deal with it if i do get withdrawls.
i was taking about 12 a day and over the past week and a half ive decreased it to 5. and starting today until monday im taking four and then two days of three and then two and after friday im out again =/
