long expired klonopin - safe?

Just found this site, looks interesting got lost for about 2 hours reading all the interesting drug info while trying to find a question I had but could'nt find, is there any info on here about taking expired scrips, I have a legit scrip for klonopin and found a 16 year old bottle with 120 1 mg pills in it, its been stored in a dark cool closet all these years, I was wondering if they would be safe to take still??? BTW they were at my grandma's house all these years, lets just say she wont be needing them anymore

I mean I know they are pretty old but it just seems like such a waste to throw away 120 1 mg kpins, its hard to find legit info any where on the web on this subject, half of what you find is "throw them out dangerous" then theres the other half "oohhh they just fine the expire dates are BS" anyone here actually take hella old meds before and they worked pretty well? From what I understand is they are just a little less potent not dangerous. - Thanks

Hey FYI since no one knows much about really expired meds, I took it upon my self to try 'em my self i took 4 which = 4 mg of klonopin, got me fucked up, these ones i found are not generic, the ones I'm prescribed are generic, the old ones seem better, they have a date of November 1994, and were stored in a cool dark closet "not in a bathroom where there is humidity" in the original container all these years, maybe thats why they worked so well being they were stored in perfect conditions. Just thought i'd share

perfectly safe. they might be a little less potent, but should be fine if you kept them out of light/hear
