Me personally, i like the smell of popcorn but i don't like to eat it. I'm not a chocolate fan, but i looooove the jelly lollies.

so what do you guys eat, who loves a choc top?

If you join that Village Cinema's movie members club or something, you get $2.50 choc tops. :D

skittles. i'm yet to find a better projectile against the people who talk :X

i either take my own bag of lollies in (yes i'm cheap. sue me.) or buy popcorn. i looooove popcorn, especially at the movies. if i get popcorn though, i really need to get one of those massive boxes, 'cause otherwise i'm nearly finished it before the credits.

movies + popcorn = genius.

I cannot stand movie theatre popcorn /pukes. You might as well just fill a cup with butter and suck it out of the straw. gross.

But I won't buy candy at the movies because its a total fucking rip off. It's all about buying a pack of candy at the store and smuggling it in your purse MUAHAHAHA :D

i'm a big fan of most of the common movie snacks but my favourite is definitely red vines. they are generally gone by the time the movie comes on...

alasdair

I don't eat stuff at the movies, but I do always sneak in my own water bottle, and occasionally snacks for my husband. Movie food/drinks are so ridiculously overpriced!

I did once go to an alternative type theatre (played lots of indie flicks as well as some of the mainsteeam films) that had espresso drinks, pastries, smoothies and the like, and I did get a nice drink there. Oh, they sold beer and wine too. =D

yup sour patch kids, too.
amd i used to sometimes eat snow caps
once i brought in a number 2 value meal (no meat;) ) from mcd's

i used to work in a movie theatre. one time i found the remains a whole turkey dinner that someone snuck in and ate. They had the whole bird, mashed potatoes, gravy, and what looked like string beans.

I don't often buy concessions at the theatre, but occasionally I will indulge in some Snow Caps (basically chocolate chips with sprinkles) and popcorn. If it's the independent theatre I go to, I'll usually smuggle in booze of shorts--you should have seen the midnight Big Lebowski showing I went to...haha, plenty of bottles clinking throughout the movie. =D

Also, what the hell are choc tops and (jelly) lollies? Are they lolliepops? Or gummy candy or something? Wacky Australians! :D

I usually just go with the largest Icee money can buy and skip the food, but on those rare occasions it's Sour Patch Kids or these kickass nachos that this one local theater serves.

I don't usually eat in a theater. But if it's before Halloween I raid the dish. It usually gets eaten during the previews.

Sorry Finder, choc tops are the generic ice cream you get at cinemas all over Australia (obviosly i thought the whole world ate choc tops). Its just a cone with a round dome of ice cream on it that has been dipped in chocolate.

And jelly lollies, well jelly lollies in Australia are thinks like jelly babies and jubes and snakes and stuff like that. The chewy lollies.

i lurve the jelly lollies.
