Logic behind cone-shaped spliffs?

Is there any actual reason for rolling spliffs in the stereotypical cone shape?

I've always just rolled them like I would ordinary cigarettes and I don't see how it would make a difference, if it is indeed intentional.

Cheers. =D

Probably because it starts the the spliff off nicely and, as you burn closer to the tip, the spliff gets more concentrated from the smoke that's past it before so it doesn't need to be as wide. Of course it also looks sexy, tempting you to fondle it gently before lighting the thing.

I just prefer that shape - it's almost as if it gives a smoother smoke. I use tobacco, so it's also a good way of not using too much tobacco and making your joint taste like a big cigarette.
