Heroin lofexidine (Lucemyra®)

I am UK based & used Heroin since 2001, the longest I have been Opiate free in all that time was when I went on a 9 day a-PVP binge.
Yes the Tragic Truth is I have used Heroin that much & for that long, due to supply reasons & it is causing me to be "sick" for blocks of 48-60 hour blocks when I cannot score & then something will come along but due to supply issues my habit is now costing me 30%-50% more than I am used to & the "Heroin" is so badly cut it's not worth it.

I don't want to go on Methadone as I have seen what the sickness is like off that, I really DON'T fancy getting some Iboga / Ibogaine off The Internet as I am well aware it isn't a Full 100% Cure for all & the Trip for some folks is a Nightmare, I know if I got a supply of Bupe (subutex) I'd end up snorting it & selling it.

I was looking online to see how easy a UK GP may give out pregabalin as I have found those in high doses are amazing to cure sickness but you build a tolerance so fast with them, I came across this stuff called lofexidine (Lucemyra®) which I have never heard of & it reads online just the kind of thing I need from the NHS.

Any experience of using it to get clean?

Clonidine derivative, probably around half as strong. According to this, its effects on withdrawal symptoms are due to lowering the amount of norepinephrine in your brain, but it won't help with cravings or increase endogenous opioid levels.

Slightly but on topic but how guaranteed is someone from using ibogaine at a flush dose, sending you to neverland and pulling you out again without any knowledge of it.

Not sure how true, but have read ppl not remembering anything from there ibogaine treatment. Any exp here or input. Something that just opened in here in S.A. is ibogaine clinics. So just was also wondering about that on the side line.

Lofexidine is given out in rehabs and it works really well. Not sure how effective it is compared to clonidine but it has less of an effect on blood pressure so the NHS prefers to use that.

I know clonidine is a godsend during withdrawal. Keeps the adrenaline at bay and can straight knock you out for a couple days if you're lucky. Can order it from india at less than a penny per 100mcg.

Lots of people say pregabalin is good but it just amplifies the discomfort for me.

The first few days I also take amphetamine which seems to help, especially with the RLS. And it's not like I'd be sleeping anyway!

Dissociatives are underrated in their ability to help with opioid withdrawal. I was dependent to 600mg/d of morphine, taken for ~1.5 years at least. I quit by tapering down as much as I could without discomfort (was on lyrica too but I had tolerance to them, didn't do much at all anymore so I doubt that it helped me significantly) and then did some memantine megadoses (didn't keep a journal but it was >60mg) and used a bit of red vein kratom. Went almost flawlessly.

My memory of that time is a bit hazy but not too long. Maybe 2 weeks. I dosed when I felt that I'd need it. Memantine has a very long half life of ~72h so it stays in your system for a while. Lower dosages of memantine might also help against post-acute withdrawal, it is a mixed dissociative/dopaminergic drug.
