Lizard Lounge- Dallas, TX

I'm not quite sure if this is the right place to post this question- sorry if it's not..

Every time I go to the Lizard Lounge there is a guy there walking around shirtless, carrying a large white vase of roses on his shoulder.
It's always the same guy, and he's always got dreadlocks, no shirt and black pants.
..I'm pretty sure he's a Lizard Lounge employee.

Does anyone know who/what I'm talking about?




Why is he there? What does he do?

I once asked him if I could smell them, did so, smiled really big and said thanks before I walked off.

Hey guys, I'm living in Lawton, OK right now and I'm not too far from Dallas or Oklahoma City. What's the Lizard Lounge? is that a cool club to go to? I'm looking for cool spots to hang out in the area. I'd appreciate any help.

I wish I could help more, but I've heard nothing but great things about the Lounge.

I'm headed down there tonight to witness Benny Benassi in action... it's gonna be fucking sick .

i live in DFW and the lizard lounge is just a place for mostly highschoolers n shit cuz it is 18+. i mean i guess it might provide the 'scene' some people are lookin for but its kinda lame, i do know alot of people who were down with the lounge awhile ago but it is kinda JV in my opinion

It's 17+

It's definitely a younger crowd, that's for sure, but I kinda like it (I'm 18, though, so I guess I fit in there).

Also, I think the atmosphere is pretty cool... it's always jumpin' when I go. Though, they're starting to crack down on some shit, since they've been gettin' in trouble (at least I've heard). The last two times I've been there, I've almost gotten kicked out for giving "in the face" lightshows and for pulling my t-shirt over my head because it's so damn hot in there.

At their summer festival, it was almost too crowded to do anything other than stand. This is the event I almost got kicked out of. I went two weeks ago, and there was only two times I got told to stop giving lightshows, and most of the other security didn't really care. I don't know what their deal is lately.

I've heard Afterlife is pretty bad ass, but I've never been. I wanna go soon.

Insomnia is pretty cool, but I've only been twice, and both times I went, I was already coming down off rolls and all I wanted to do was go to sleep, so I wasn't really able to get up, dance, or do any super fun activities. They're a lot more lenient there, though.

Last summer insomnia was the shit. They put in some new lame ass rules though, no dancing until like 4:45 or something like that and...NO SMOKING WTF? I've also ran into narcs asking if I knew where to find "ecstasy pills" so that place is a little sketchy now, still fun though.

Lizard lounge is tight when there's good DJ's, Afterlife is great when they're hosting an event.

I know of the guy you are talking about with the roses. Believe it or not he has been doing the same shit since I've been going to the Lizard Lounge since 2000. Not so much though. I've seen him at other various clubs/events.

LL has always been a club for the younger crowd. I use to go when I turned 18 (28 now) and I still show up for certain DJ's. I just don't go to the normal Friday and Saturday events.

Insomnia and Afterlife are both clubs people go to later on in the night. I haven't been in awhile but when I did go it was pretty gritty.

Re: The guy carrying roses

In response to the guy selling roses at The Lizard Lounge, he is not an an employee of the club, but he comes in to (obviously) sell roses. His name is Olei, and he's a really good friend of mine. You go often? I've been going since 1997, though it was off and on for many years. I have actually been going recently because of some of the guest DJ's and a "renewed interest" in a certain guilty pleasure Also, the girls I'm hangin' with love it there and rolled for the first time about 6 weeks ago and it's always fun rollin' when you've got two or three girls with you and you're the only guy, so...

PS: Blue "A"'s and Purple Batmans- grab 'em up while you can. Whoa!
