Perhaps my breathe was meant to leave as you walked by
Passing through my life like a shooting star in my November sky
Something about the way the tear slide from ur face onto my finger
Made me realize the pain inside me will always linger
That memory is not so far behind me, but it will always lie ahead
Neither of us will forget so many painful words that had to be said
But now, no words leave me only to wonder if your life is better without me
My life changed, but I realize what happened was simply meant to be
For what I lost through my pain, I found a way to gain stength and wisdom
I don't know who you are now, but I am proud of who I've become
I know each day brings the possibility we will see one another
But that does mean we will speak, or that we will forgive each other
In the end, I hope you find it in your heart to once again call me a friend
I am not asking for your lust or your love, but the friendship we can mend
I know you shall never read a single word, but still it heals my soul
My breathe still shivers as I say your name, but I no longer feel that hole
I want you to know I never meant to hurt you, though I know I did
Maybe one day you won't turn your back, you will smile instead
I know you understand and still think of me, but cannot face the pain
So writing the words for no eyes or ears, my escape must remain
