Live trip reports / timeout

Hi BL

1) I read somewhere that live trip reports are discouraged here, which isn't actually saying they're banned. I'm a pretty good writer and can remain concise and articulate even when under the influence. Would any live reports I made be badly received by the community, even if the written quality is good?

2) Is there anyway to extend the session timeout when I write replies in threads? I'm careful about what I write, so even a short post can take a few minutes to write - by which time I'm often required to log back in.

Any help with these much appreciated.

Another reason why we don't allow live trip reports is because they are more incriminating that writing them later on in the past tense. Since we are a website that discusses a lot of illegal activity, we prefer to keep it confined to past experiences rather than discussing present and future drug use which is more likely to get you in legal trouble, although the chances are slim that it would happen.
 
In Ecstasy Discussion some years ago we did have a live trip reports thread going which seemed to work quite well. From memory most all of the reports were done from a home setting so incrimination was not a problem.
Doing a quick search finds that thread is now archived in ED.
There were certain rules that had to be adhered to when writing live reports.

I suggest you pm the mod team from the specific forum your looking at and discuss with them.
