About two days ago i went to my friends house to just chill and hangout. We then got really bored so we looked around his house for anything that could give us a buzz. We then found his mom's bottle of Valium. They were 5 mg each. My friend took two, and i took around six (30 mg). I've had no experience with any other benzo. While i was waiting for the valium to kick in, i went to my girlfriend's house. But all i felt was a little bit drunk. Other than that no effect whatsoever. I've heard 30 mg of valium is a pretty high dose for someone with no experience with benzodiazepines. Has anyone had this type of experience before?

First off different benzos create different effects, so the diazepam may have worked, it just wasn't what you were expecting to feel.
Drunk feeling sounds about right, supposed to induce euphoria too.
My first ever benzo was diazepam, I took 20mg and felt nothing, I got prescripted a different benzo, clonazepam, that did what I was after at 0.5mg.
IMO, using benzos to get high is not a good idea, u risk getting mentally addicted, physically addicted, building tolerance up rapidly etc. Don't mean to lecture, but just letting u know that just because doctors give them out, doesn't mean it's ok to abuse them.

yes, but with lorazepam instead of diazepam. I swear I'm immune to those things, I wont even go into the stupidly high doses ive taken to get a high and felt nada. and manicmama is right. in a way, im glad you had a "meh" experience with diazepam; you'll be less likely to get addicted to it than if it had been an awesome experience.

The perceived effects are very subtle, from one minute to the next you might find yourself thinking "I cant believe I did that"...

benzos don't really give you euphoria.... just make you really calm and not give a shit... you can sleep pretty well on them too.
with high doses you forget a lot of shit and do whatever crosses your mind, you literally have no inhibitions... you might find yourself walking naked on the street or some shit like that

I get no effects from diazepam either. I have a high tolerance for like, every single benzo but get nothing from valium. Benzos aren't that fun anyway, more of a "may cause drowsiness" pill without the "may". Too many at once leads to crazy blackouts & don't mix with alcohol all crazy style. A lot of people die that way.

There was a huge batch of 'bootleg' valium around my hometown in the late 70's
a couple of the ingredients we found out to be, pcp & Mexican mandrax Took 6-8 hours the next day to recall all the stuff you did, that on any other day you would never even think of doing.
