I was just prescribed lithium carbonate 150mg capsules in addition to the normal ambien for insomnia. Has anyone ever heard of this type of treatment? Doc said it might help calm my mind to get to sleep better. I am kind of skeptical with this being a bi-polar med and all (I am NOT bi-polar just the usual panic disorder and chronic insomnia). Experience?

Also, are there any serious interactions with other medicinal or recreational drugs I should be aware of?

Also also, happy 420 yee all :)

Doctors are handing out antidepressants for anything now a days.

You can go in as a patent & say, I'm worried about my car, its not running right & they will attempt to put you on an antidepressant.

These clowns get serious kick backs from.the pharm companies for prescribing these meds.

They are instructed to over prescribe these meds that can seriously turn you into another person mentally.

There's absolutely no reason your doctor should be prescribing you Lithium because you can't sleep......

Keep smoking some weed before bed time, its a natural way to get to sleep.

Some times when I can't sleep, my mind is racing in 100 different ways, but do what, that's normal stuff......gtfo with taking Lithium.

thats crazy lithium is a mood stabiliser for bipolar, tell ur dr to get fucked

Well, thank you for the advice good people. I will not be touching these pills. Dudes been a good psych otherwise but that was weird. Tried to coax out some temazepam but they weren't having it lol.

Of course he didn't want to give you any temazrpams, they give you a chill feeling & relax you.....we can't have that, they rather lobotomize you......
