Lisdexamfetamine - New ADHD Amphetamine Coming Soon

ok, eeryone should know that a large dose of Dexedrine, or Vyvance i guess now, is better than adderall. adderall is more speedy because it is a quad-compoud using levo-and dextro salts. Whereas plaine dextroamphetamine might not give you as much of a "rushing" effect. it will be more enjoyable, smoother, less jittery; and ultimately more euphoria because it allows me to take higher doses w/o such BAD side-effects as adderall.

Vyvance, for me anyway, is almost identical to extend-release Dexedrine. Maybe a tad better actaully.

p.s. im coming down from vyvance adderall combo; which is great!@ btw . . and just popped two bars and smoked a bowl. ahh the love/hate relationship of upper/downer abuse. ok now; awful when i wake up.
 
ironically, the literature for the script i got today starts with "WARNING: THIS PRODUCT HAS A HIGH RISK FOR ABUSE". :D
 
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST When are they going to stop making this Amphetamine Drug SHIT that Doctors practically SHOVE down small childrens throats????? Dont the have enough ADD/ADHD Medication?

In my day ADD and ADHD was just diagnosed as stupid.

As already said, splitting off the lysine to make plain amph is almost as simple as making GHB from GBL. Anyone who understands even the most basic principles of organic chemistry will have absolutely no problems with it. Only stupid druggies with no idea about chemistry would take this pill without converting it to amph first if the aim is to get high...

Although it would be more prudent to neutralize the excess HCl instead of cooking it off, to avoid danger of overheating the amph HCl salt. A good chemist would of course distill off the HCl in vacuum using a water bath as heat source.
 
even longer time release? sounds like the perfect thing for making sleep even more impossible for ADHD people.
 
Ok, So im going to a dr. who will prescribe me basically whatever I ask (within reason) ..... He is on this Lisdexamphetamine kick (vyvance) .. so he gives out free bottles (which would be a biig friggin bottle for someone like me)

But in the end I'd rather settle with 30mg Dexedrine Spansules twice daily.
complemented with an adderall script.

in the end, adderall just isnt cutting it anymore without serious side-effects.

What should I have the doc put me on?

I couldn't agree more. Mixing dex-amp with nasty levo-amp is more distasteful than baking a perfect apple pie, then dusting the pie with salt instead of icing sugar:X
 
Anyone with personal Lisdexamfetamine experience care to give some pointers on its effects and how they are different than those of pure dextroamphetamine? If the L-Lysine cleavage of Lisdexamfetamine is accomplished via amide hydrolysis in vivo, would using a strong base such as sodium hydroxide or even sodium bicarbonate accomplish the same in vitro? If so, then taking baking soda or other antacids coingested with Vyvanse would have a double purpose of alkalizing the GI to reduce amphetamine's metabolic clearance and thereby extend its effects in addition to facilitating the process of L-Lysine cleavage. Just a thought.
I find very little information on any of this and as I am not an organic chemist, any expert advice on this issue is highly appreciated.
 
The hydrolysis in the body is accomplished using an acid hydrolysis - which leaves the soluble ammonium ion, as opposed to the free base which is left over after an alkaline hydrolysis. Yes there's nothing to stop you from hydrolyzing that bond in your kitchen. If you use sodium hydroxide you might expect a precipitate of amphetamine freebase to form. Use Hcl if you want the product to be bioavailable.

Would you please further elaborate as to the in vitro method of hydrolysis? Can sodium bicarbonate be used? Also, what would promote this process in vivo? I usually take antacids with my amphetamines to enhance the effects, would that deter or promote said hydrolysis or merely do nothing? I am not a native English speaker, neither am I a chemist so I apologize for my English as well as the amount of inquiries I produce. What would seem apparent to a chemist, is not apparent to myself. Perhaps I should have picked Adderall XR for my ADHD relief, but instead I choose Vyvanse as it seemed like a viable option considering there is no cursed levoamphetamine in it! My psychiatrist simply refuses to even consider Dexedrine, Desoxyn or even Adderall IR for he believes they are entirely too abusable and upon dispensation of such prescription, any and all sentient beings would immediately proceed to insidiously inject, snort, plug and otherwise misuse the aforementioned pharmaceuticals. Needless to say, his faith in mankind is lacking.
 
It involves a little bit of chemistry to set up the experiment. find the ratios of the ka's you're using and the molar masses of the compound and the weight.. but without doing the work the long way (ie: working out the numbers, chemically), i'd just say heat it up in a dilute strong acid (ie: hcl) for a bit, and then cool it down, add some bicarb afterward to neutralize the remaining acid. Make sure your ph is decent before drinking it (obviously). Do more research first - messing around like this without knowing what's going on and you could get jacked. The most important step being not drinking a solution of hcl. edit: dont use aluminum cookware - acidic conditions will corrode the aluminum and put it into solution.
 
vyvance is good for those who have been on dex or adderall for a long time. it kinda hits you in a new spot.

just got a trial of it. If you enjoy oral amps then lisdex is right up your alley; 2-3 70mg caps of it will have you awake for quite a bit. I just dose the caplets normally (and it seems from the chemists in this thread without some substantial chemistry know how thats about all that can be done) and it's satisfying enough. I'm sure the shooters would disagree but I'm not ready for the needle ;)
 
It's not that horrible and will still be sold in the black market as adderall is.

Do you think that taking l-lysine supplements (as I have a bottle) would affect the pharmacokinetics at all? I would suspect it would hinder conversion to d-ampheatmine in the GI...

prodrugs are crazy!
 
I was prescribed Vyvanse about a month ago an i prefer it over adderall. I for one have real ADD and arent trying to just get high off an amph. The peak is less extreme then aderall and the come down is smoother (all i notice is that i get sleepy when coming down - thats it) I can sleep even if I take it late in the afternoon, but past 6 or 7 and im fucked.

Overall, the high is good but not as strong as aderall, but with fewer side effects and less of a zonked out feeling.
