Bupe Liquid Suboxone

If all you have is 3mg of bupe then you do not really have enough to succesfully taper. I'm prescribed 16-20mg a day which some people on here might think is too much but it seems to be perfect for me. 3mg just seems so low.
on another note, i will eventually taper off of bupe because i sure as hell dont want to stay on this dose for years and then get a serious dependence problem. But its only been a week so far.

is subutext the same as suboxone? i wanted to dissolve it in alcohol/h20 and take it in the butt, but i dont wanna do it if it'll waste it.

Its the same drug except is doesn't have naloxone. plugging subs? I don't think a man should ever stick anything up their ass, personal opinion.... Besides subs are meant to be absorbed trans-mucosally(mouth lining) & swallowing a sub is pointless & wont do anything; your supposed to leave it in your mouth for like 20mins, i doubt sticking it up your ass will have any effect

Code:
BOTH buprenorphine and naloxone are destroyed after being swallowed.

Suboxone is therefore designed to be taken ‘trans-mucosally’, i.e.
via absorption through the lining of the oral cavity into the bloodstream
(the lining of the oral cavity is called ‘mucosa.’ The passage of
molecules through the oral mucosa is affected by a number of things–
the size of the molecule, the lipid solubility of the molecule, the
concentration of the molecule, etc. Buprenorphine is a lipid-soluble
molecule that passes through the mucosa relatively easily, whereas
naloxone is more water-soluble, and crosses the mucosa very poorly.
THAT is the basis for why the naloxone in Suboxone is not active;
only buprenorphine enters the bloodstream in significant amounts
through the oral mucosa, and BOTH buprenorphine and naloxone are
destroyed after being swallowed.

well, im not a man, so maybe you think girls should put things in their butts? i was on a thread earlier where someone had claimed that plugging them made them more effective (i think they said sublingual was 30% and plugging was closer to 50)

They most certainly should !

I mean, bioavailability, yea.....

Suboxone and subutex are essentially the same thing. Suboxone has naloxone in it, subutex doesn't, but the bupe is stronger than the naloxone, so it renders it useless.

Plugging it will have a higher bioavailability than taking it sub-lingually, where sublingual has a ba of ~30 where as sniffing has about ~50 and IV ~100. I'm not sure the exact number for plugging but it is higher than the ~30 for sublingual.

Have you guys not been able to try the new suboxone they came out with???? It no longer is going to be the stop sign orange pills. Ever had listerine strips? Thats what the new suboxone looks like, it tastes so much better is so much better overall!

There's a whole massive thread about those.

My Dr. won't prescibe them to anyone, so I wont be getting them, but I don't really care, the pills are fine enough

Ok so I found this forum and discussion because I am wanting to try and get off bup. Wow, so I did not realize that some of us are not as educated as others and that the power of the Internet is not used. I started my opiate detox in 1999 and these amps you are talking about was only thing being used in US at time and there were only a handful of Drs able to treat with buprenorphine hydrochloride . Then in 02 Clinton passed law and suboxone was the replacement. Now I am taking a generic form in a gummy square form. Long way away from 99 and now there are so many different forms it's hard to keep up. All I know is the amps saved my life and 11 years later I am finding that I can't quit the sublingual form without getting sick. Dope sick. I should have never been in this med for 11 years but it's kept me clean. 8 mg daily from day one . Never more, never less. I want out now, I'm ready but can't! Yes u can get dope sick from a med used to treat opiate addiction. Help me please. As is advice

Read the 'Suboxone Megathread' on this page. There's quite a few stories of people detoxing from Suboxone (including mine) which should give you at least some idea of how to go.
