Liquid LSD + NO2 - experienced - interesting

Drugs:
- 2 drops of strong fresh liquid lsd
- multiple bulbs of nitrous oxide

We had planned a huge party weeks ago, it was a costume affair with the theme of cartoon characters. The party was a big party between our house and some friends house. Our houses are in adjacent streets and there is a park in between our houses so it is only a 100m walk from house to house...the perfect party venue. I had prepared a costume of Brak from the brak show which I thought was quite spiffy.

The evening started quietly with a barbeque across the park and a few beers, as night drew nearer people started to dose up with a multitude of different substances. My drug for the evening was going to be a smallish dose of lsd so I took 2 drops on a sugar cube and awaited the fun.

An hour or more had passed and I was feeling quite unimpressed with the lsd. On my past few trips I had been able to concentrate and induce visuals in as small a time as 15-30 mins. I was feeling "high"
but no signs of visuals or reality falling apart as of yet. It was still a great party and I was enjoying sitting back and talking with friends and some new aquaintances when someone offered me a NO2 bulb. Now I had had some experiences with these before which left me mostly unimpressed but I thought what the hell! I loaded the bulb into the chamber to hear the familiar hissing sound and promptly inhaled the bulb in one breath. A split second before the onset of the NO2 effects I noticed some coloured lsd visuals which I was suitably impressed by. A second later the metallic ringing of the NO2 filled my ears and reality seemed to be diced and cubed into hundreds of individual cubes floating in a black void. Reality came back seconds later and I was greeted by a noticeable reality shift thanks to the lsd.

I sat in the room talking and enjoying the vibe of the party. I sat back and let the trip unfold for a bit and started looking around the room. After a few minutes my daydream was interrupted by a girl I had just met barking "stop looking at me!" I laughed and appologised and explained that I wasn't aware I was looking at anything in particular and I was staring at the whole room! We had a laugh and all was forgiven.

Now quite content with my level of intoxication I wandered back to our house to see what everyone else was up to. Our lounge room had very much become the "chill out room" as it tends to do at these kind of parties. There was a room full of people listening to music and smoking weed. Someone asked me for an ashtray and I got them this black and pink ashtray we have. They asked where the extravagant ashtray came from which was actually quite the story. We bought it at a garage sale while sketchy one morning with another matching ashtray and a matching dolphin statue! The others requested to see this dolphin statue so I retrieved it from the corner of the room and placed it in the centre of the room. Everyone was suitably impressed and it was then that I noticed the acid peaking. I stared into the dolphins blowhole which had a peace symbol sticker placed over it. although the statue is incredibly distasteful and tacky it seemed incredibly profound at that moment. The blowhole seemed like some kind of gateway to nirvana. I then noticed some unusual visuals. I noticed a pattern everywhere but not the normal fractal twisting turning pattern so familiar to trippers but something more akin to a multicolored fingerprint over absolutely everything. Thin twisting lined filled with every colour all at once surrounded everything. A sat back and enjoyed the ride for god knows how long.

At some point I wandered back to the other house and was handed many more NO2 Bulbs. I thought of an excellent description of what was going on inside my mind with combination of lsd and NO2. The lsd told my mind that we are all one, yet the NO2 shattered the oneness for a second and created rifts in the oneness, totally contradicting my mindset. It was like experienced two polar extremes of emotion in a split second.

The night went on with much more hilarity and adventures. At one point I sat back and observed the party which was full of people taking no less than 8 or so different drugs that I could count. I was amazed at the realisation that we were part of such a huge counter culture. By indulging in drugs on such a mass party scale we were in essence telling society that we have no respect for its rules. On a social level we all were not happy with the world we were born into, and on a spiritual level we were all seeking something beyond the ridiculous culture we had been a part of. In our own way we were indeed renegades of society. I took comfort in the fact that all revolutions must start with a minority. We were that minority and we are clearly fed up with our existing society and culture. We were dictating a new set of rules and a new pathway for society. It was perhaps one of the more practical realistic realisations I have had while on acid. Indeed a valuable lesson to see ones place in society.

The next day was incredibly sketchy. there was people coming down from LSD, from MDMA, from K, from GHB and any number of other substances and we each seemed to "catch" each others particular strain of sketchy. Conversations were scattered affairs of 3 or 4 words that hopefully made sense. We sat around in the sun all day enjoying the quietly passing day and eventually I passed out and went to bed. It was an interesting adventure on a relatively low dose with some interesting effects and valuable insights.

Did you write a trip report which included the buying of the ashtray and dolphin story? It sounds familiar!

Nice report! I'm quite a fan of LSD + Bulbs :)

Entertaining trip report, very well written, as i felt like i was there, experiencing it 1st hand. :)

I find it surprising that u found the nitrous shattered the oneness, i have found (along with many close friends) that nitrous induces a state of oneness, a state of unity with the universe and all that there is. In fact, this is the very reason why we all like nitrous so much, it instantly takes us 'there', wherever 'there' is, which i guess is everywhere really, so basically it's just bringing us to a state of presence in the moment/eternity. I find nitrous instantly connects me with the cosmic consciousness, and that on lsd it can seriously intensify the trip, taking it to a whole new level of consciousness/awareness, a cosmic level. Not that you really need nitrous to get you there if you are already on a good dose or can easily connect/tune in, then it's just extra special fun ontop of all the other cosmic fun/shenanigans =D

Peace! :)

I reckon it does shatter the state that you are in but replaces it with an absoluteness that is hard to otherwise appreciate; it feels so normal and at one. It does send me to what i would call the ultimate psychedelic state. Nitrous when combined with a psychedelic is simply amazing.

peace

I am not saying it doesnt induce a certain state which can be included in the philosophy of oneness...it does.....but it is quite far removed from the standard (I use that word reluctantly) psychadelic experience.

On Psychs you percieve everything is one....if you are with freinds you are all one together....almost one organism acting as one..... Nitrous however takes you to a plane of existance where there is nothing except you mind floating in a void.

I LOVE IT.
