Liquid Insufflation for Dummies

Hi,
I have tried searching and surfing through threads, and I've seen multiple people post and say "it's in this thread, damnit", but I've spent hours looking through and not gotten a complete understanding of how to best do liquid insufflation. Would it be too much trouble to have a dedicated discussion of how to most effectively do liquid insufflation?

Thanks much in advance for any positive replies.

It's as simple as it sounds. Drop the liquid onto a flat surface and use a smooth, waterproof tube to insufflate.

Even easier is to use a syringe to apply the liquid to your nose directly.

If you have more than 0.5 mls then you may need to allow some of the liquid to evaporate. You can use a lighter to facilitate this with 25X-NBOMe.

Avoid insufflating anything other than water as alcohol burns a lot and most other solvents are very irritating.

Thank you for the reply. On with the questions. I tried 0.25 ml of water with a soda straw. Spilled the .25ml on a flat surface and snorted with moderate force. Surely some went up my nose. Some of that dripped back out of my nose and back onto the table. Should I snort more (very?) forcefully? Should I position the end of the straw near the opening of my nose, or place it as far up as it should go? If I can feel it towards my throat, does that mean I've wasted some material, or is there a region above the throat that also will absorb pretty effectively?
Tried also with a syringe with 0.25 ml, and again, felt some dribble one way or another out of the nose. These are the varagies that cause me to ask for details. I'm probably overthinking this, but can't help myself.

If I reduce the volume even further, than the bits of residue that cling to the syringe or straw will surely become significant, and my dose becomes less certain. If I stick with 0.25 ml, then I feel uncertain about how much of the dose I'm really getting.

Things dripping down your throat is generally not ideal as it quickly gets swallowed.

If you find liquid is dripping back onto the table then lower your head so the straw is more horizontal.

No need to get the straw deep in your nose - just above the easily visible region is more than far enough if it doesn't drip back out.

If your'r having problems with dripping then the best solution would be to snort less but I don't think I've ever had problems with 0.25mls. 0.5mls is pretty ambitious though, thinking about it.

Been meaning to get a little measured nasal sprayer to disperse the drop better, but I've had good predictable results from an needless 1cc insulin syringe, sitting up, syringe level with the table, just dripping it back into my sinuses directly. .2 cc at a time until I reach my desired dose taking time to let each .2 dry out a bit. Any more than that I get liquid in my throat, gag a bit, and start producing massive amounts of saliva. Slow and steady makes things much more predictable dose wise when using a syringe. Havn't tried a straw, maybe next week.

I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I tried dividing 0.25 mL between two nostrils and didn't get even close to being able to get it all in without it dripping one way or the other. Should I be inhaling forcefully and taking in a lot of air at the same time maybe? Or could it be that staying very well hydrated makes my nose less hygroscopic? Or maybe something else is unusual about me or what I'm doing. It seems like it's this way with me in life in general - the things that come easy to others are very difficult for me. Fortunately, the converse is also true - some things that are very difficult to others come easy to me. Thanks for the patient replies.

Hygroscopic specifically refers to the ability to absorb water from air. You mean hydrophilic. :)

If it's dripping at the back, try using a thinner or thicker straw? Trial and error I think is what's warranted here.

OK. Thanks for the definition. Should I be sucking a bunch of air along with the liquid, such that the process is rather loud?

Try to just get the liquid, more air will mean more of the AI will enter the lungs, or be swallowed! The nose is great for absorption and consistently the best ROA with most chems. Drop the mix of substance and water onto a cd case, it's hardly any fluid! Stay as horizontal to the water as poss by moving the cd case to the edge of the table, use a straw to inhale, only just into your nose slow but steady inhaling works the best, or should I rephrase that?? Don't sniff so fast that It hits your throat instantly, but sniff enough so it is trapped in your sinunesses whilst absorbed! This method should get you nicely toasted

I managed 0.2ml of 40% vodka in which I'd dissolved 25I-NBOMe squirted fast straight from a 5ml oral syringe with no problems. Probably would have been better from a 1ml pin with the needle broken off for ease of access and better / finer spraying but still . . . Not much drip at all, believe managed to keep all of it in contact with nasal membranes by tipping my head whenever I felt anything like a drip. Stung for a coupla minutes but no worse than snorting the mildest of powders and effects within minutes, visuals beginning in 5 minutes of it. No irritation issues beyond that. Have no clue what issues if any there are with snorting vodka but none apparent so far.

Snorting vodka hurts a lot and alcohol causes vein sclerosis. 0.2ml every now and then is unlikely to cause problems though.

Thanks for that mate. I suspected it would only be a problem if overly hammered. Good to know! :)

I didn't find it that bad at all. Minor discomfort lasted till the vodke had all evaporated I think, 5 mins-ish tops. Anyone who's tried to snort aMT freebase like an idiot or ethylphenidate would barely register it! ;)
