I was given a bottle of liquid hydrocodone/acetaminophen. 7.5-500.

I have only used pill form before. I was hoping for a bit of guidance as to how much I should dose, and how to accurately measure it out? And, how much is left in this bottle? The markings show that there's just over 150ML of liquid left.

Thanks for your help.

usually the dosage refers to 1ml of solution, use a syringe to measure it out.
this could be wrong though so be careful.

edit: a teaspoon is a vague measure of unit and can mean anything from 2-4mls.

it's very hard to say what amount of liquid a teaspoon will hold. if it's large, it'll usually be around 3-4ml. do you know if the bottle came with a dosing spoon/cap?
i'm now fairly certain that the dosage doesn't refer to a ml. i have no way to say though.

well. take a teaspoon. see what happens. that's just about the best advice you're gonna get with the information available.

A quick search on google yielded This. If what you have is the Lortab Elixer, than it would be 7.5/500mg per every 15mL. However, I'd make sure that these are the correct dosages because if it turned out to be per 1 mL, well, that would be disastrous. That though, is for you, and your search engine of choice to find out, as we don't do pharmaceutical ID's on this forum.

Since the bottle is marked, than you should be able to mark it according to those measurements, or you could invest in a 10mL oral syringe from the pharmacy.

I appreciate these quick responses. It says on the bottle "MFG Qualitest - Substituted for Lortab Elixir." So it's at least safe to start with a teaspoon? and work my way up slowly if needed?

What's your tolerance like to opiates? The fact that it's dosed by the teaspoon (equal to 5mL), makes me think that I'm right (per 15mL). However, even with no tolerance to opiates, you'll probably want to take 3 teaspoons, as 2.5mg is not going to give you anything but analgesia (if that).

My tolerance shouldn't be high at all. I've only been taking Kratom lately. Haven't touched a real opiate in at least a year.

Kratom is a "real opiate" despite popular myth.

Start with one tablespoon (or three teaspoons), 15ml (7.5mg). If you weigh more than 150 lbs, or have to take a lot of opioids to get fucked up, take 2 tbsp, 30ml. (15mg)
If after ~45 minutes you don't feel anything then take another 15ml.

You can get an oral syringe from a pharmacy for measuring if you like, they're less than 5 bucks and reusable.

Okay. Three teaspoons it is! I weigh about 115 pounds. I'm a small guy. :)

I thank you all for the comments. Love how helpful these forums are.

the only opioid syrup i've ever taken or even would take is one that the only active ingredient is hydrocodone which my lil sis had 2 150mg bottles of 5mg hydro per 5ml and i drank one bottle one evening and the other the next and it was nice
