Has anyone ever SEEN (not heard about) a liq cook up into gel or is this just another myth that people seem to believe? People have been saying that the new yellows now cook into gel, but theyve said that for the past year or 2. I havent been able to find any yellows to test, but i would like to know for future ref cause i dont want to waste money on a yellow if its gonna cook to gel

Sad but true, when the dea found out that the majority of k was coming from Ketaset(Fort Dodge) and demanded that they change the formula to turn to gel, I have tried several times to find a wat to cook the gel into powder with no luck, word to the wise, if u find some one selling yellow labels dont buy it!, cause they turn to gel, I know some unscupolous heads who have been doing so

there is a way, but i'm not saying anything about it.
this is an incredibly illogical means of reducing drug abuse. didn't they consider the possibility that people would just turn to injecting it?

is the way worthwhile and feasible for anyone to do or is it something that requires knowledge and materials?

Above is not to be performed and was posted to show that is it possible to separate polar and non-polar substance from each other. Again, text below is work of fiction and I take no responsibility for your action
It is possible to extract gelling agents from the solution if they were just added to the ketamine + saline mix, however if they were implemented into ketamine formula itself (is that possible?) I don't know if it can be achieved. Not with the ordinary kitchen chemistry anyway.
Most likely gelling occurs because of some sort of binders added to the formula. Ketamine is polar therefore it can be dissolves in polar solvents such as Methanol. Now if gelling agents that were added to the mix at the factory, are non-polar, it would be a breeze to separate. Just pour the whole vial into methanol, shake it up, let is settle, add non-polar solvent (ex. petrolium ether), shake up the whole thing vigorously, let is separate into layers. Now all ketamine is in methanol layer, and all gellers are in petrolium ether layer. Siphon of methanol layer, discard petrolium ether layer (or you can add some more methanol to it and get last bits of ketamine that are floating on top) Being highly volotile, methanol will evaporate pretty fast (of course if you got pure product w/o any additives such as water!), leaving you with crystals of K. Above synthesis was made-up thinking logically and you would succed IF and only IF, gelling agents were ADDED to the solution, and not IMPLEMENTED into ketamine when synthesizing it at the Fort Dodge's lab, and if gelling agents that were ADDED to the ketamine+saline mix are NON-POLAR.
If they are polar, one would need to find out names of gelling agents, and their chemical properties. Perhaps they would crystalize at the specific tempreture, and could be filtered out........who knows

plug the gel!
haha, that's lookin' for a nasty nasty mess.

That is a myth. The new yellow lables DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GEL UP. That rumor is total bullshit. If they added something to it they would have to go through a long a thorough process before the FDA approved it. Fort Dodge would loose alot of money. Your dealer is just getting ttokkyos because they are alot cheaper for him to buy, and he can still get the price. Beleve me, yellow lables are fine. I have not encountered one to gel up, and I have had them every day, of every week for the past two years.

gelling agents would have to be added to the liquid, which is not ketamine + saline, it's ketamine + distilled water. there is no way you could incorporate the gelling agent into ketamine itself. you might be able to formulate it as the salt of a polymer, like DXM polystirex is, but then you couldn't inject it.
gelling agents are somewhat polar because they have to absorb water.
but the right way of doing it is only slightly more difficult than the way you described.
oral k? being too pussy to snort gel?
"use once and destroy."
kking: every day of every week for the last two years? damn you. almost makes me want to find a way to make them gel myself. =P
yes, nothin like a jealous and bitter fiend. who knows chemistry.

As of now, I am almost certin there is no truth to this... I also believe that since Fort Dodge makes ketamine for NON-HUMAN PRIMATES they would NOT have to go through the FDA approvals.. someone will correct me if I'm worng..

Roches you are my new friend..... 8) Seems to me that i can gain some knowledge from you. How good do you know chemistry? High school chem? College?
Yeah when I was typing my hypotisis above, first I wanted to put ketamine+water, but then I remembered that I have read somewhere (don't have a source to prove it) that it contains saline, when you bake it up, you get K + salt....anyway, you see that "..(is that possible?).." in my post above? I didn't think you could incorporate gellers into K, but I wasn't sure completely.
Ok let's say they do have gelling K. You said that hypotises that I described is wrong. Probably. It's a hypotisis, not a synthesys. So what would you have to do, if you wanted to separate ketamine from water+gellers+whatever else there might be in there?

no, you don't get salt when you cook it. you get *a* salt, ketamine hydrochloride, but you don't get *sodium* chloride. (that explains the extra weight above 1 gram) as far as i know, anyway. the bottles would say "in saline" if it was in saline; they say "aqueous solution" which means just water.
...there are a number of things that can be dissolved in water to form a liquid, but turn to gel when the water is removed. (a 'gel' can be a relatively hard solid as well as a jello-like one). like polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin, agarose, polyacrylamide, silica gel..all of them are polar (like ketamine) but it doesn't matter. i'm not sure which, if any, of these substances are safe for injection.
totally unrelated, useless information: acid-base extractions are really easy and very useful for isolating substances that form salts.
knowing chemistry: 2 years of college chemistry, 5 years of high school. (it's weird here, i could graduate next year if i wasnt in an honors program.) ... plus a lot of reading other stuff, which no one else does, but i don't get credit for... =)

Fine!! dont believe me, buy one, Then reply back. Ill be waiting!!!
cause i only speak to hear my own voice!

roches, can you post a link where I can read up on acid based extractions?

i was always under the impression it's Ketaject that turns to gel.. But I may be wrong. The yellows we have cook fine.
