What does everyone think of their new album?
Obviously LP is an ever changing band and all their albums have been different from the one before it.
The first two albums were my favorite but 1000 suns is pretty decent as well.
Any thoughts? Discuss.
 
First two albums were the only ones I really liked, although a few of the songs off.. that album.. can't remember the name, were okay too. The one that came out around 2007.
 
Hybrid Theory was awesome (With You, Papercut)...Meteora is in my opinion their best album (Faint,Lying from you,Figure 09),,,but they sold out.
 
I don't think they sold out. They're simply evolving. Sure, Hybrid Theory and Meteora are my favorites, but if they stayed in the rap/rock bubble for the rest of their careers it would get stale. They're branching out and experimenting on a few albums and soon enough, they'll release an insanely hard album going back to their roots and it will be fresh as hell.
 
I concur. Theres a difference between evolving/experimenting and selling out. And IMO, LP hasn't crossed the line. They still have a pretty unique sound. If they were on the radio, you'd definitely recognize them.
And I think it's safe to assume that they'll make an album that goes back to their roots, as voodoo mentioned. And I think all of the older fans, the ones who were drawn in by Hybrid Theory and Meteora, will go crazy for it.
 
only really heard hybrid theory, loved it through my teen years and love it now. heard a few of their new tunes but dont like them that much
