A glint of hope in my eyes.
A tear begins to fall
As time passes by.
Its been over a year since your death
How your memory forever lingers on.
The happy times we shared
You built me up
You made me strong.
I remember that night
Ever so clear.
How we all survived
But for you I shed
These endless tears.
The smoke, the ash, the smell and the sight
Every time I close my eyes
I clutch to your blanket
The one you covered me with
To save both me
And my life.
So today I sit here

For the never ending fear of flames
That keeps turmoil in my life.
