Limbitrol

So I was prescribed limbitrol which I have rarely seen prescribed I myself am a Podiatrist so I have a good bit of experience with different medicines, well I was prescribed it for sleep but I was curious if I could use it similar to Xanax xr as in like a medicine I took in the morning to help with anxiety the dosage is 25/10 and I would appreciate any help you guys could give me.

Limitrol is a mixture of amitriptyline and chlordiazepoxide, chlordiazepoxide is a lower-potency benzo that reduces anxiety. Its effects may be similar to Xanax XR (alprazolam) but it is much weaker than Xanax is.
