Lightshows 2.0 vers. Let's melt some fucking faces!

Ive just been having a quick look through some of the videos on here - Has the idea of lightshows losts its direction?

Lightshows was always about personal expression, you moved with the music, you listened to your body/mind and just 'danced'. So many of these 'lightshows' seem pre programmed or so rehearsed that they are removed from the idea of 'light shows'.

Its been so many years since I 'raved' so fogive my ignorance but what would you rather watch when rolling hard

A) Somebody dancing to the music, knocking out shapes and just going with the flow?
B) Somebody standing in your face, churning out a set of practised moves ?

I personally love to watch people dance to the music - self expression, punching the air with a big smile on their face as opposed to somebody standing there concentrating on thumb rolls etc?
 
This is how I personally am about giving shows. I practice a lot of moves, moves that Ive never even done in a show. I practice all day until I get certain complicated things down. But once Im giving a show or recording one, I go with the flow of the music and let the music direct my show. I dont think about moves, transitions, or anything. I get stuck in the beat and let my hands do whatever they want.

would you rather us not practice? i'd imagine that'd make for a pretty shitty light show lol. also no matter how much i practice i pretty much do the same shit in every show cause im too caught up in the music 8). im working to get away from it however.

how is that ww? it looks like a regular 3 color. im not being a douche i've just never understood the deal with the Ww lights

Im thinking of doing a combo of 4x 2c and 4x 3c. My 3c being that PWwAq and my 2c being either AqWw or BWw.

i think my favorite so far is actually the RGB blue tint with BOG light set. i also got MBB 1-2 strobes and a few other goodies, including FRESH WHITE GLOVES OH YEAH

this is an exciting day, i dont even know what to do with myself lol :)

thanks yo! excited to melt face with these this weekend. i tried giving a show to my parents cat and he was all about it for about 5 seconds (until i tried tunnels, then he was like "fuck this shit").

gotta wait for the wifey to get home and show her whuts up.
 
My and my homie from HEMP ordered our new bulbs yesterday =D

My set:
4x PiWwAq strobes
4x AqWw strobes
2x PiWG hyperstrobes (thumbs)

His set:
2x PiB strobes
2x PiPurp strobes
2x PiG strobes
2x Turquoise strobes
2x PiWG 6modes (thumbs)

Yes, Im aware that our thumbs are same colors but we knowingly did this. He likes to change his modes a lot.
