do you guys practice to a/some specific song/songs?

or do you just do it to whatever comes up next on the playlist8)

sorry about all the nooby posts guys:( i just have nooooo freakin clue. i only ask because i feel like itd be easier to just glove to a certain song so you know what beats are coming up

I practice all day long, with or without music. I have a playlist specificly for my light show, but Ive found myself about to glove to almost any genre of music.

It definately is easier with songs that youre familiar with, so I recommend starting off with songs you know.

No problem man, thats what this thread is for :)

I used to do practice to songs i knew. Then i got lost at events cause the music is diff. So i started gloving to whole sets, which workes. Then a buddy recently told me that all the electro/house/dnb i listen to is on a 4 count beat and now i can glove to any song i just count with the beat.

I do have some songs I practice to but I try to avoid doing it to any one song too much because then when a song comes on it looks rehearsed, ya dig?
What I suggest doing is practicing to songs that are different speeds. Some fast, some slow.


And noob post are allowed here. How the fuck else would you learn?=D
 
going to a certain event tonight in which a dubstep dj with a rockin mohawk will be performing :P

debating between these three sets of gloves:

4x 3c BWG strobes
4x BWG ribbons
6mode maxlight BWG thumbs
Green inova palms

8x OW 2c strobes
PiYB 6mode maxlight thumbs

8x PurG 2c Strobes
BWG 6mode maxlight thumbs

RAWR - also, im feelin good, just ordered ANOTHER set

new evo chips (i have the proto type ones)
8x 7c BWG strobes (i like the icey blue ww strobe effect created in mode 2 ALOT)
PiBG 6mode MICROMAX
clear casings
more batteries, of course :)
 
meh i just tried to glove with the ribbons and strobes and it wasn't fun. changes the moves a ton, more open handed figure 8s and less finger rolls. tutting is okay, finger waves are okay if spread out. its just weird.... so, now its down to OW or PurG :)
 
i also have some BWwAq strobes to throw in the mix....

thinking maybe 2x BWwAq 6x PurG or 2x BWG 6x PurG with the BWG 6modez for thumbz

or just straight up 8x OW or 8x PurG

No problem at all - just watching out for everyone :).

Was funny before as somebody actually posted a picture of his tickets for a future event 8o - not only could they be traced to the person buying them (especially since they were saying how much MDMA they also had) but anyone could phone the event and report those ticket numbers as stolen! Which means when the guy turned up to the event he wouldn't get in and could be handed to the police for having 'stolen' tickets.

It's so easy to forget that not everyone on here is a roller / raver.
