Save the planet, save your soul.
Swat the flies that swarm around
your precious bullshit.
Create and destroy.
Complain,
because you can’t comprehend
why this bitter world hasn’t met it’s end.
Battle on through the layers
of shit-laced sediment
that coats and clogs your soul,
searching for the answer
as to why you feel this way.
Why you feel light-headed with heavy thoughts.
Why the anger breeds, defending your sadness,
trying to prove to your self that
you’re apathetic when it’s all to clear
that you care to much.
If you ask me, only the truly
empathic are in the pits of despair.
You chase after truth,
but you fear catching it, biting into it.
You’re afraid that, at the core,
you’ll find no reason.
Just an underlying darkness,
self-created and self-maintained.
That’s all.
No cause.
No desire to justify or explain it’s presence.
It just is.
And then you'll just have to deal with it.
