Hi,
I was an everyday speed user for about 5 months, nothing really serious (no week long binges) but it had become very much part of my day and was the most important part of my life.
I gave it up about 10 months ago but I still find myself thinking about it all the time.
Most days I think about how much I fancy some, to be honest a day caining some billy is very tempting regardless of the fact I cant afford it.
Has anyone else come off speed?
How long did it take for the erges to lessen?
I feel like I'm still adicted even though I only do it about once every 6 weeks now.

I may be wrong, but this would be better posted in The Dark Side...you may get a better response.
But just before i go, i hope everything works out for you....

Hiya,
Im most likely the wrong person to answer, since im not "off" speed - but I am "only" a weekend user of it.
I find other interests/acitvities that are more fun than speed - your only thinking/dreaming about doing something else when your bored. ;)
So get your mind on something else :)
Good luck :)

hello mate
i used to IV speed in australia. but it was cheaper, i was richer, and it couldn't last - so after going out three nights in a row, then going to a wedding, then a 21st party, then getting on a plane to come back to england, i predictably crashed. and crashed, and crashed, and burned... i did about four months off it. and i still got the urge to do it, often, like in the supermarket or before going to bed or while having lunch, anytime, anywhere, and i really really wanted it. they did lessen to an extent - i found the longer i stayed away, and tried not to even think about it, the less i felt i needed it. however, being surrounded by it when i went out was crap, that's the hardest. when i wasn't around it, i was fine - but the thought of a line just pops into your mind like nothing else.
since then i've really tried to decrease my amounts and have stopped IVing. but even so, if i think 'oh i'll just have a little bit to get me through the night' i end up four grams lighter, with paranoia my constant companion, and i get really, really harsh comedowns with huge issues - specifically the futility of existence etc. etc.
try not to be around it. the urges will last for ages - but i'm sure they'll retreat with enough time.

I've dealt with meth cravings in the past. My solution was to move somewhere that meth/speed is not readily available. The urges have never really gone away, but there's not a whole lot I can do about them. Eventually, other hobbies took more precedence in my daily routine and the speed thing crept to the background. I'd rail a fat gagger right now if it was available.
"caining some billy"
Am I the only yankee that has never heard this expression? Sounds painful, for Billy at least.

Hi,
It might be an odd question, but is there anywhere in USA/Europe where speed/coke isn't available .. ?
I don't see how moving away from the drug might help - but as you move away your also forced to find new people to be friends with etc, and that aspect might "move you away" from the speed.

Hi,
As I wrote I take speed in the weekends, atleast most weekends. On the other hand I also have speed laying around normally, so if I really wanted to take a line or two, it wouldn't be any trouble, just take it.
Is it me whos odd, or don't you guys who take it in the weekends take whatever you want/need in the weekend, then go sleep sometime. Even if its in the middle of a gram.. ? I don't have to suck the bag dry before I can sleep :P

if you want the cravings to go away you should think about not using until you dont get any cravings. using once every 6 weeks isnt making it any better.

why dont you repost this is the darkside, thats a forum full of people quitting drugs, NOT a forum such as this one full of people ON drugs. There's a slight difference.
