Life after opiates??

Cannabis has been my drug life after opiates.
Weed takes away majority of my opiates cravings. Sometimes I feel as if I've been tailor made to accept THC and cannabinoids.
Actually, one of the reasons I started using oxy more, besides the fact that I loved it, was the fact that it was the summer and pills were around while bud was not. Pot prohibition basically lead me to heroin. Yup, that's how I'm looking at it.

to be honest with you... the only kind of life i had after quitting opiates is doing other drugs, otherwise i am NOT AT ALL HAPPY. now, i dont mean compulsively doing shit like cocaine, which if i do will be only once in a while... i mean like, i need to do MDMA or MDA or LSD to "feel life" its fucking sad man.
not literally lol, but yes. unless im on buprenorphine (which is what i am stabilized on now). it kills my cravings for opiate agonists.
EDIT: and yes, for me cannabis is a MUST.

My love for my wife is only thing that replaces opioids.
The feeling of opioids was near identical to the feeling of being head over heels in love... thus opioid high is easily replaced by love, really, they feel nearly identical.
Cannabis sucks, causes severe psychosis for me. Everytime I smoke weed, I end up pacing in circles for hours with the same train of thought endlessly cycling through my mind. That aint fun. I used to love weed, but after opioids, weed is just annoying.

I feel I'll be hooked on H or looking forward to the next time I use until I find someone to love.. I know thats sad but its how I feel about it.. I can get over the hump and beat the physical wd's but then I just feel empty, its like I get clean but once I'm clean I'm just scheaming and planning when the next time I get high will be.. sucks
