Life after opiates??

yes i have found that weed is about the only thing that comes close to replacing opiates.. if you dont have a pipe and have a person there to get high with you could try using very small peices of weed rolled into a ball and then hot knive that..... heat up 2 knives witha torch or electric stove till the ends get red... let cool for 3-5 seconds pick up the weed with one hot knive press between theother and inhale through a paper towl roll...........

I guess it goes either way as well ...I cant quite decide if I want to totally give them up or not...I know I cant handle the dosing..I'll have to have a keeper if I deciide to get them again...it took ten days without to realize how hooked I was on these...a total wake up!!! nah....I wanna be free..

I have yet to find life after opiates. I've been through w/d at least half a dozen times and yet I fall right back to doing them. Last time I used was 10 days ago (before today) I was done with physical w/d but I was mentally ill. I had no motivation didn't go to school that I pay for (community college) so I relapsed, doing 12 poppy pods. Now I feel sooo much better, life sucks when you have to depend on drugs to be happy.

I just want to be free from being locked up in opiate dependence. Physically W/Ding is only a small part of life after opiates, to me it's the easiest part.

People who want to experiment with stronger opiates should think twice about it. I wish I sticked with the opiates that had other active ingredients in them like vicoden or percocet.

<3 wft....there is...I think I found it....cannibus maximus :) anyone else found a life after opiates?:)

well once i'd found that too and got fucking cannabis psychosis shit after blazing 4 years heavily, i know everyone is different etc, i dont blame cannabis. i suggest go after downers, at least they dont fuck with your mentals

I didnt think Id make it..at all..I knew for sure Id be at tht pharmacy today...refilling my vicodin BUT...I just made it for 9 or 10 days vic free.....Im not6 rushing my refill either....opiates are one of those things...quitting starts making more sense than doing them....and you just are forced to bive them up.....something like that ayway :)

cannibis has make me freak out dozens of times...I laught them off now but at the time it was horrid....I had a plant or two...free...thats why I did the cannibis thing coming off opiates...Im still deciding if I can use without abuse at this point!!!

cannibus is really the only thing that makes life bearable for me...i know it sounds bad that i rely on a drug to function, but at least its not heroin anymore. i take my bupe like im supposed to and i smoke a lot of weed to kill the desire to go out and cop....tho i didnt resist the urge today, and i went out and got a 50$ of some really fine raw.

I've been the opposite with the weed thing. I've been four months clean of heroin, and i take my bupe regularly as well, but everytime i smoke bud i really really want to get some heroin cause i associate the two together. All i used to do was use marijuana as a potentiator(best potentiator ever...besides more of the same opiate/opioid!). Beh. At least IV bupe/benzos holds me off from going out to score...but that's only cause i moved states just to quit :) and have no where to find anything.

I used opiates about as regularly as I could while avoiding withdrawl, I would definetly use MUCH less if I could smoke pot but after 6 years daily smoke I randomly started getting intense anxiety from it. Yep, the thing I loved the most makes me feel like complete fucking shit.

I agree that weed or any drug you enjoy for that matter can help fill the "empty space" that opiate addiction leaves you. I think opiates are vastly superior to weed, but being high on weed is still better than being sober IMHO. Of course everyone reacts differently to different drugs and there are plenty of people I know who just don't get any desirable effects from weed.

Getting over opiates is about changing your life. You have to find a life that makes you truly happy. That's why people relapse so often...finding happiness can be a very difficult thing, and finding the drugs to replace it is much easier.

^Isn't that the truth?

everytime i smoke bud i really really want to get some heroin cause i associate the two together. All i used to do was use marijuana as a potentiator(best potentiator ever...besides more of the same opiate/opioid!).

Hope that doesn't happen to me. That is the tactic I plan to use to taper off hopefully once and for all. Only time will tell. I did get sober before using 12 step groups. not sure I have the time or desire for that yet but who knows. Stranger shit has happened.

Today I will use my last bit (except I think I have some coming to me for favors owed) It never ends.:\
