How are all the ex- junkies doing? I hear a large persent of ex heroin adicts tend to drown there sorrows in the bottle, because its the closet legal downer kind of like H. Thats the way Im leaning, but never would have guessed it in my speedball prime. I still think its better than all the chain smoking, bible thumping 12 stepers, but to each their own I guess. What are all the real hardcore Heroin adicts doing now that their no longer on Heroin? I think the junk is always in the back of your mind, You can go a year or maybe 12, "relapse is part of recovery" but in the end the salvation all comes from the point of a needle.

seriously man opioid sub. therapy is the way to go....its helping milliions of addicts around the world deal with their addiction as we speak

I know opioid substitution is key, especialy with opiates, But to get "high" , we like to drink. and oh yeah im alredy on bupe

I'll be able to tell you in about a year, I've been clean for almost a month, I'm on suboxone. Usually 8mg EOD. I plan on stopping that soon. Life is just okay right now. I feel weird when I smoke pot from the bupe, so I don't do that often. I would be lost without bupe. I never was an IV junkie, though, strictly oral and nasal. I feel better about myself and my bank account, I can tell you that much so far.

^ bank acount?, havent had one in years. But can still remember when my ATM slips had thousands of dollars on them............ . . ... Heroin.

Opiod substitution may help you, but I don't consider that clean living. You're still dependant on one drug or another and have to put up with clinics or scripts. And, there's always that fear in the back of your head about what will happen if you don't get your methadone or suboxone. Sadly though, some people can't live a non-opiate life without some sort of substitution and are on it for an indefinite amount of time. But, hey its better than the ups and downs of a heroin habit.

Becareful about abusing other drugs. Although it's legal, an alcohol addiction is just as bad if not worse.

You just have to figure out what you'd rather do instead of drugs and pursue that.

Edit: You might get better replies in TDS.

^ Being a Herion adict is way waaay better than being an alcoholic,..... .. but whatever.

substitution therapt has worked great for me. i have been on suboxone for the past 6 months and i have done dope a handful of times. living on the street and being hooked on the needle was no way to live. NA and those 12 steppers never worked for me. yea there is life after heroin....its all about what you make of it. i know the one day at a time thing is played out and cliche now when it comes to rehab, but its true. one day at a time at first.

Personally I would never fuck around with herion ....but to the people that do, dont you worry your product might be cut with fentanyl ??? Seems like every other day someone is dropping dead from that shit8(

True, but now when I go for days without suboxone, my only symptoms is tiredness, and slight cravings, its not near as bad as it once was. I go up to 4 days without sub, and am going to be completely off in a onth. I'll keep a 3 pill emergency stash.

No, it would be laced, not cut also. Ive never seen that around these parts, and if it was, I snort, don't shoot, I always take a test bump with my little scooper and wait about 15 minutes. I would like for it to be laced with fent to be quite honest.

You could still OD from snorting fent laced dope. And no, you really wouldn't like it to be laced...

Bupe and weed works wonders for me.

me too. i dont even drink anymore really, i just smoke herb and that keeps me content. weird thing is i used to smke an 8th of nugs a day sometimes, granted i had the means to do so, but now a days an 8th will last me like a week. my tolerance has gone way down.

and no, fent laced dope isnt as common as its made out to be. most of the OD's were in specific areas. i heard about it being in bmore, which is one of the east coast spots for heroin. but never saw any or heard about ppl oding from it. fent or not, you can still OD off a real strong batch. its a street drugs, it could contain anything.

Amen!!! Life sucks after heroin when you still have the urge in you to get high. I quit for over a year once and the first time I had the chance to do some I was on it!

Quoted for truth...

I still dabble from time to time but if I said I didnt want the life of rushing on my daily run back I'd be a liar.
