in WA proffesional dickhead colin barnett has made 'tough; new marijuana laws....

and they wont change, because he knows that the general public are misinformed about the facts of marijuana, and so he knows if he keeps coming out with this "crackdown" attitude towards pot, the public will be like fuck yeah for colin barnett and keep him in his high up job with fat pay check

he doesnt give a fuck about the truth, whats right and wrong, he'll say whatever the public want to hear so he can keep that nice paycheck

Also from WA, and strongly against Colin Barnett's backwards thinking. I personally do not use marijuana very often, i.e. once every few months, and I think that his laws are ridiculous. It's really a shame, that there is little we can do, besides angry emails. Did he actually give any justification to why he changed the laws?

Which runs from Oriental (Chinese) "Opium Den" runner's who Addict White Females, to the Negroes smoking "reefer's" or becoming Super-Human through the Use of Cocaine, which makes them impervious to Police Bullets (LMAO) . Now this we ALL know is Bullshit, but what I've just wrote can be verified (Google & the MANY *Free "E-book"sites which Allow for Out of Print Book 2 B freely Shared) & are ALL TRUE. The fact is the Medical establishment ,Which has been Overtaken? or walks Hand in Hand with the Pharmaceutical Industry. I only know few hard facts as to how the Health Systems in the U.K or Europe actually runs (though I do Agree with the 8 pound(I don't have that $ U.K symbol on this keyboard:) Cost for ALL Medications "name-brand" or generic)
Sadly Here & especially in the U.S it's NOT SO :( Although in Canada it's Better then the U.S, but in Ontario Our #1 export is INSURANCE! , Then Lumber,Water, Electricity LOL. Now that is a Altogether different topic , It shows HERE though that the Medical System, which FUNDS The Government as EVERYONE runs to the Doctor for EVERY Little ache, Pain...& now agoraphobia. What did people do 100yrs Ago?? when they were Depressed. Suicide! if it their depression was that bad, But in case Anyone hasn't Noticed *there are Warnings that state Anti-Depressants CAUSE Suicidal Thoughts!
Basically that fact that , One can sit down.....smoke,vaporize whatever some Herb, which ALL Christians should realize "Hey...GOD? Created Us, & the Earth...but He DIDN'T Create Marijuana, or Opium or Coca Leaf (sarcasm in case ya don't get it) Man got on his High-Horse as Always & said "I/WE Can do Better!" enter Morphine,then diacetylmorphine then Codeine, & oxycodone etc.... the Fact it takes like 10,000kg's to Make ONE Kg of Cocaine HCI speaks volumes....it's gone from Natural, to "semi-synthetic, to 100% synthetic Versions of these 100% Naturally occurring Chemicals. "Man made Speed, God made Weed who do you Trust?"

Laws, are put into place that restrict a individuals Freedom of Choice, because of ??? BIG BUSINESS! not because "Marijuana's a Gateway Drug" (I grew up in a "not so good environment" Drugs were a Way out, physically or Mentally where I come from depending on Ones Will-Power & weather or not you wanted to better the Next generation of Your Family...I'm not arguing about drug dealing or ANYTHING about that business) What I'm "pissed" about Is what I see happening, & that is this. It's NOT About what this leads to in ones life...Harder drugs? or Not. It's the Fact that *If the Government aka the Pharmaceutical/Medical Establishment CANNOT CONTROL ANY SUBSTANCE, Making BILLIONS in Profit. Laws are going to be put in place ALWAYS in the Name of "Good"

The Phunny thing is......Sativex is 100% Legal ....What will That Be a Gateway to??? (*Other then The Billions it will reap in Profits , ON BOTH SIDES of the Pond as the F.D.A is in the 3rd & most critical "stage" of Approval for this "Medication" that is WAY Over-Priced)

Marijuana is much more dangerous than some people think..
I've been high everyday for 3 years time and I tell you it has ALOT of negative effects,
even though its not nearly as harmful as alot of other drugs, alchohol for instance.
 
Cannabis can make you hallocinate and hear voices if used over a long time but most people dont ever get these symptoms.
Problems related to alchol use are cumulative so you have to consume in excess over time for them to develop
 
I've used both extensively, and though in large doses booze is definitely worse, I find marijuana to be much more harmful to my mind, and the worst thing is it is so insidious, you don't realise it's happening.

I know I'm in the minority with this though. I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones with a genetic variant in my dopamine transporter.

Alcohol has to be the most destructive drug on the planet, although it is the most popular, or second most after caffeine.

It is strange that alcohol is legal while marijuana is not. Maybe it is just a historical thing, and/or a racial thing.....because alcohol has ties to Christianity, and to Europe. I dunno.
 
^ It is my opinion that marijuana was outlawed because of a combination of racism and hemps ability to compete with alot of products produced by rich corprorations. It remains illegal because of the latter reason it was made illegal in the first place and the Governments inability to admit they were wrong about something.

Personally I think a lot of the negative effects of marijuana are overlooked. In my experience heavy use of marijuana causes a lot of mental problems, the vast majority of people wont develop schizophrenia but in my experience most heavy cannabis users develop paranoid tendencies and a lot of social anxieties. The general negative effect on the mind is easy to overlook when you can't really class it as a specific mental disorder like schizophrenia but when you are living it it really can have a big impact on the quality of your life.

I think that heavy marijuana use will take its toll on the mind, especially young minds, long before alcohol will take its toll on the body. Overall alcohol is still a far more destructive drug though and it has a much greater impact on social problems in society like violence that are not just a problem for the user but the public in general.
 
Wow this site is great Im a nooby, the two posts I've read by phrozen are totally awsome. Which is the more harmful alcohol or pot hell I had this figured out when I was 15 its just so obvious. Here's some food for thought people have died from drinking to much water thats a fact. There are many that have died from eating a walnut, I have never heard of anyone dying from pot in a physical way. Yes I read the one about getting into a car on pot and yes in some cases as this I must admit it may have caused some accidents, but I think not as many as alcohol, I mean come on anyone that has used both substances in large doses knows that you are way more out of control by drinking a fifth of wiskey in an hour than smoking a quarter ounce of pot in the same time. Some substances are more harmful to us than others. I know this is going to be for some unthinkable but I have used opiates and heroin for very very many years, I have friends that have done the same with coke and methamphetamine and I believe I can see a difference in the way the opiate users and the upper users look in age. I am 47 and when I tell people my age they freak,I really think there is something to this. I think to myself ok opiates cause one to lose stress they slow the metabilism down,stress is a major cause of many illnesses. I have used both coke and meth and when I do I am stressed to the max,and one does not sleep well on uppers,the body must sleep,I sleep well on most opiates.Drugs need to be legalized and sold at a store like alcohol,not sold to under age,put on the lable the harm they cause and let people make up thier minds for themselves,this all comes down to choices and prohobition takes away choices. I would also like to point out the different death rates for prescription drugs and illegal drugs check it out its phenominal way more die from thier doctors drugs than thier dealers.My father and my uncle (fathers brother) have both commited suicide over dosing on purpose on thier anti-depressants.

Large amount, small amount, different person, different effect it has on them.
IMO marjiuana is not harmful, to me, or to the people around me that having been devouring it for a long time.

I have NEVER seen/experienced a negative effect on me.
Though, I do have a close friend nearby who smoked bush for 7 years, then switched to hydro for 4 years and now he talks to himself occasionally

I'm pretty sure Marijuana cures more then harms.
 
Commmon this is becoming more blatant. ITS NOT ACCEPTED TO TAKE THE OPPOSITE APPROACH TO THOSE YOU DISAGREE WITH MERELY BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE WITH THEM. Marijuana isnt the cure to the worlds woes. It hasnt been explored enough (the individual compounds havent received enough pharmaceutical study individually and in mixtures). IT DOES HAVE SIDE EFFECTS. Get off the bandwagon that its not harmful (this isnt at anyone in particular just as a general trend from my forum viewings). Legalisation isnt an easy topic and for it to happen the groups supporting it cant scare off the general public by contradicting not only false info from anti-drug groups or the experiences of their lives.

BTW i smoke daily and am noticing side effects. I love it still but its an intoxicant and when you a bit on the blurry side your thought processes arent perfect, which over the long term (being stoned 24/7) turns into delusions.
 
^ I have to say that I agree, I think marijuana is probably the safest drug out there but that doesn't mean it is harmless. I think it is counterproductive to argue it is totally harmless because it really just puts across the image of a drug obsessed person who can't admit there is any negative to it whatsoever.

How can we expect them to concede they were wrong about a lot of the harms if we can't ourselves acknowledge that there are problems associated with it. The way to move forward is to acknowledge these harms and come up with ideas on how to reduce them, not deny they exist.
