Lidocaine to mask ayahuasca taste!

Has anyone tried using lidocaine orally like a mouthwash, to numb one's mouth and avoid the taste of ayahuasca (or san pedro,etc.)? :D

Or any fast voltage-gated Na+ channel blocker of your choice

Tried it with san pedro and it hardly helps. The bitterness somehow pierces through the veil of numbness, and the texture is still a big issue. Never tried it with aya.
