Well I unfortunately had to go to alcohol detox. Of course they blew my 25mg tid with 50mg qid first day, 50mg tid second day then I left because I felt fine. Can I go back to my original taper or do I ween off the 50mg over a couple of days. I don't want to tell my doc I drank as he will prob cut me off. Thoughts?

I would imagine that your doctor would have a duty of care to prescribe the most humane means by which to treat your alcohol issues irrespective of relapse. Depending on where you're based, doc-shopping is a common tactic if he does indeed cut you off (which is unlikely). Librium has a long half-life, so you probably would feel fine for more than a day after your previous 50mg dose. I suspect you should anticipate alcohol withdrawal until you sort out the Librium situation.
