Lexapro and Alcohol Safe?

Is Lexapro 10mg daily And Alcohol In moderation Safe?
On top of heavy weed smoking?

The bottle says don't drink with it but honestly I've never noticed any issues. I get drunk off 4-5 drinks, and I very rarely drink so I have no tolerance. And weed doesn't interact with either. Just pay attention to your body while you're drinking and you'll be fine.

Drinking and smoking weed while on lexapro is fine, no interactions. I used to do it all the time, have fun & be safe

Ty ! I just hear that lexapro and alcohol doesnt usually work out.
i mean i think i should be good
i drink a 6 pack of miller 64.
which has a alc % of 2.8
so 6 of those are like -3 normal % beers

Hi, when I was drinking quite heavily, I used to combine effexor and once lexapro with alcohol and some other drugs as weed, I survived easily but I tend to be very excited, restless and sometimes agressive.
Now that I am sober, I take lexapro and it is absolutely not the same effects.
So if you have for instance any suspicion about a possible bipolar disorder, it may be safer to avoid alcohol since it can trigger hypomanic behaviors.

I personally just got off lexapro a few weeks ago, thank god. I wish I had known of the long term effects and exactly how most SSRI's work before I got on that poison.. anyway, I've drank many times and smoked bud with no problems whatsoever. Took many opiates while on lexapro and a number of psychedelics (shrooms, DOx, 2Cx, salvia, LSD, NBOME) all with no problems either. The only thing I noticed with tripping was slightly weakened effects, which were easily solved by increasing the dose.. I've only taken lexapro but from what I hear it's one of the more "mild" SSRI's compared to effexor and others. And With little drug interactions..

Excuse me getting off topic, it appears that alcohol is just fine while on lexapro. But like anything, you don't wanna over do it as habitual drinking (depressant) will probably counteract antidepressants' effects. So keep that in mind and use in moderation.
