Just got my powdered MHRB in the mail and I want to follow Lex's Tek for extracting DMT. His calls for acacia bark though, so I'm not sure if the Mimosa bark is used in the same ration as the Acacia bark. Anyone care to help?

Ok, but you can always clean it more afterwards - recrystallise or try this.
Looking at the Lex tek again (is this the one you're talking about?) I don't see the point in the initial acid extraction since there's no defat step before it's basified. The extra purification comes at the end, with an A/B extraction of the DMT from the naphtha before crystallisation (freeze-precip).
So you could do a STB instead of steps 1-4, then do step 5 on of the Lex tek with the DMT naphtha solution. Should give the same result.

Agreed, just follow those guidelines or start with an acid extraction instead and continue with A/B. The difference in results are debatable. I have a hard time believing 'lex tek' has a higher yield because of the tek alone. If the instructions are done with different plant material (I don't mean different plants, even different batches or different specimen produce different yields) these numbers can be adjusted.
There is nothing special about the tek, it's basically A/B and skillet advises you to skip the acid cook and skip it for a standard STB tek.
Only difference between Acacia and Mimosa is Mimosa is much more sure not to need a defat step.
Shelllite can be substituted for coleman fuel or naphtha, acetic acid/vinegar for muriatic acid/hydrochloric acid or even other types.
The rest is standard procedure. Nothing to add further. Please refer to the DMT extraction thread for other questions since they would refer to standard operations.
